Thank you @chib-ba , I will definitely look at it, if I will not need it right now, I will maybe need it in the future for some reason... And thank you dear @Enthousiast for this great, great hint, thank you! So, with creation of an up-to date MS IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC ISO we will all have a bingo here! Great hint and solution, I will do it as you advice to me. ... Funny, it did not recall to me before, to test all this as you advice to me now to do it, I was thinking that Microsoft did not repair all this in their Updates at all, and now I know that I was wrong... That..., if we make an up-to-date Windows ISO image directly, it will function superbly just out-of-the box and directly upon OS installation. And yes, I can confirm to you, as you already might suspected by now, that my MS IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC ISO is an initiall one version, from I think 16 November 2021..., so I never make this up-to-date ISO image in all this time, and obviously now it will be a finally good time to do it, if not before.
MSFT did not repair it, it also never failed for me (using normal uptodate ISOs) except on the 32GB emmc Asus Transformer Book T100TA, the drive hardly can run windows 10 19045.xxxx x86.
So, to be sure exactly what you are telling me, Microsoft did not repair all this, but the Up-to-date MS IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC ISO will only and just make the "magic" that this particular KB503441 nightmare update - and among all other Updates here - will be successfully installed..., but disregard the size of the Recovery partition, and which in fact will still stayed with an old, small and original size (509MB only), and even after this Up-to-date MS IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC ISO image will be installed...?
First post here... I use an HTPC (Home Theater PC) with Win 10 Enterprise, legit key and all. I use it for media, mainly, with gaming as a second tier use. I'm investigating the IoT edition due to longer support, as I would like to stay away from 11 if at all possible (on desktop I migrated to Linux Mint one year ago). I have some questions. 1) Could the key I use for Enteprise be valid for a IoT LTSC install? Any idea, way to check? 2) Is there a way to do an "in place" update from Enterprise to Enterprise IoT LTSC without reformatting everything? 3) I got the en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f ISO from here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...prise-n-ltsc-2021.84509/page-166#post-1794948 . Is that the most up to date? 4) If the answer to #1 is negative... where can one buy an IoT LTSC legit key? Thanks a lot.
No are 2 different commercial channels, even if the two OSes are almost identical (and you can switch back and forth just using the key) You can do in place upgrades practically from anything, provided the major version of the OS on the ISO is equal or greater to the OS you're going to upgrade. Some passages are blocked by the installer (say going from enterprise to home) but a simple registry edit is enough to workaround the problem. Provided you use a 2021 ISO, is irrelevant if the ISO is up to date or not. You're going to install the monthly cumulative update anyway on each month, or after the OS is installed for the first time. I don't think there is an easy way for a home user to get a IoT license, I think is OEM only. BTW MS built an empire on (so called) Windows Piracy, if they really wanted the user pay, they had any mean to enforce that (both technically and legally) they never did because is not convenient to them, it never was, let alone today that they earn with the user's data. Who are you to change that status quo? Unless you're using your PC for business, just forget the idea of being legal, activate the SKU you like with the method you like, and everyone will be happy (MS first)
I have no Night Light in IoT. Anybody know what the dependencies are for Night Light, in terms of services (services.msc) and local group policy settings? Maybe someone has encountered the same issue and resolved. Connected Devices Platform Service is running solution found -> Web Account Manager (enable)
