I enjoyed 'Reconstructed LTSC 2021' more than the official one i miss the Microsoft Store and facility to download WTerm & WSL distros... Obvioulsy they removed all the useless and crappy tools like Xbox and Candy Crush, but they could have kept MS Store for this decade...
Ahh, ok. I think I grok now. The installation media is different, but assuming the same version is selected, the installation footprint is the same. Still seems MS could have done this with 1 single ISO and a "Select which version to install" screen at the beginning, but what do I know. Thanks for all replies.
Hi, how to activate Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021? Do I need to have a genuine key (MAK/KMS) or is there any activation crack? Thanks
That actually makes more sense than what I got at 1AM The boot.wim did not differ much, and was surprised by install.wim results - yet it makes sense since index 1 is pretty much the same, and 2 would be N on non-IoT. Early April 1st. My bad
Facts are that 'good old' LTSC 2019 does not work quite well OOBE on ultra modern computers : It lacks a lot of 'motherboard' drivers and WU often is no help. Same machines running 19041/2/3/4 have no problems as WU finds and installs everything at first glance.
Hopefully someone here is able to help me out. I was running LTSC 2019 1809 and mounted the LTSC 2021 ISO an ran the Setup. To my suprise everything went smoothly and afer some reboots I was back in Windows. I checked all Settings and decided to run Windows Updates to finally turn them off for now when I'm up to date. Some dotNet and 21H2 Cumulative Update promted me reboot. Sadly the PC wouldn't reboot. Automatic repair did nothing. Uninstalling previously installed updates told me some Windows Update operations are pending and I should try to use Startup repair. Startup repair failed I checked the System Restore points and only one point was there from hours ago tho not the one I created right before mounting the LTSC 2021 ISO. Checking which programs would be changed gave me an error so I decided to try some reboots again... Now I tried Safe Mode with Networking and Windows told me something went wrong with the Updates and it is rolling back the changes and cleaning up. After that I was back in Windows and tried the Updates again. Then the same happenend tho this time booting into Safe Mode with Networking did not work the first time like before and booted straight to normal mode after rolling back the f**kied up updates. This time I had to restart again and try Safe Mode with Networking again. Now I am in Safe Mode and am writing this. I hope someone will be able to help me out <3 First thing after restarting I guess I will disable Winupdate service Looking forward to all your experience! Many thanks in advance! /edit: Rebooting from Safe Mode just brings me back to the black screens. Really seems like some Windows Update destroyed my bootloader >_< Hopefully someone here will guide me through this the easiest and fastest way. Will try go get to Windows and check here again from Safe Mode. Thx again in advance!! //edit: Now I am back in Windows without Safe Mode. Tho am back on 1809... I tried Safe Mode with Networking again and it worked so I rebooted hoping I would be brought back to normal Windows. Sadly I was only greeted by those five dots which then left me with a black display and soon my displays went so power saving mode... Then I tried the Startup repair again which again was not working. I tried the remove previous updates and the second option (not sure what it is exactly called, guess feature updates or smth) and now I am back on 1809. Now I will first update 1809 with Windows Updates and then reboot and then check if Windows thinks I am up to date and then I will upgrade to LTSC 2021 again by mounting the ISO. So strange. after being back in 1809 even my folders were here right where I left them open... Hope this odyssey is coming to an end soon. Am having problems with this Windows Update for almost 1.5hrs tho am glad I am back to 1809 instead of the black screens for now XDD <3 edit: Okay I now tried the following: This time I opted to let the Win10 Installer search for Updates etc. The installation was slower than before and after the second reboot I had these blackscreen problems again. This time I did not even have to got to Safe Mode etc... After trying three or four times the PC said it is undoing what has been doen to the PC and now I am back with LTSC 2019 1809 and was promted with a error msg. : '0xC1900101 - 0x40017 The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation' Hopefully anybody is able to help me. Would not want to install from scratch having to meticulously set everything up... Many many thx in advance!!! <3
I've installed Enterprise 2021 LTSC on my new system (i7 11700/Asrock Z590 PG Velocita) and it did not even support it's intel/killer (w)lan out of the box (22504.1000 did and my next test will be 22000.xxx), among many other drivers, when i finally got the killer (w)lan working it found older intel UHD 750 VGA drivers and the other intel (w)lan drivers, but still some hardware was still not installed.
