overlooked the writing on behalf of language barrier or something.. but have you checked the avatar? it's freaking spot-on, must be either real, or computer-generated..
Yep, the state and all information is saved by license channel. Even if a channel goes into unused state ("This license is not in use."), it retains all those information (even KMS servers). Unused KMS channels that are unused continue to count down the days, switch back before they run out and you are still activated with KMS.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction to en-gb W10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 ISO "non (N)" I have search with different tags but not finding it. Thanks.
Another question. Which would be better, fresh install of 2021_x64_dvd_7fe51fe8 OR upgrading my 1809 build 17763.2366 Macrium clone that just has all my programs installed. (basically a 3 day old OS) That's ready to roll.
Can I install IOT LTSC 2021 (using setup.exe) over a Pro installation? Edit: Need to change the following registry keys in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion: CompositionEditionID: EnterpriseS EditionID: EnterpriseS ProductName: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019
MVS stands for My Visual Studio and it's what MSDN used to be from what I can tell. The ISO file names use similar naming methods. LTSC isn't available on Techbench, but if there is ever a file available on TB the only difference between a MVS iso and TB iso is usually the filename. Because of this it is more useful to identify them by file hashes such as sha-1 or sha-256
Thanks for the info and it makes a lot of sense. BTW I read a post of yours early in this discussion where you said you like to keep your OS as close to stock as possible. I wonder if you agree with disabling unneeded services via group policy? Or do you take a better approach?
I disable defender, auto-updates, driver auto-downloads, telemetry, and win-app toast (app telemetry). I made a post with the scripts I use at this post: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...rprise-n-ltsc-2021.84509/page-60#post-1709496
I usually like to disable connected user experience and telemetry, windows search, superfetch/sysmain, updates, and defender. To disable updates, you also need to download Windows Update Blocker. To disable defender, you need to download Defender Control. Group Policy used to work on LTSC 2019. Like Murphy said in the other thread, LTSC 2021 group policy can't disable defender. You would need to download Defender Control to disable
Thanks that's excellent info. Defender is an fecken enemy to my old cracked programs lol. I use Avast premium for peace of mind. I'm gonna read Murphy78's now.
