People ask sometimes if they should stay with LTSB 1607. I've installed Edge on my 1607 for a while. A few days ago I wanted to add the Ublock Origin extension, seeing it available as an extension on the store. When trying to add it, an error popped up. Found in the release notes that the Edge browser installed had to be a more recent version. It appears that Edge for 1607 is not being updated or at least not being "feature" updated. While other extensions worked, Ublock Origin did not and maybe there are more extensions like that. Makes you think if this is an isolated issue or maybe we'll see more of this later on. Cheers.
Sure, that's most probably the issue. Nevertheless, we had the "Xinso regfix" to supposedly enable Edge updates with LTSB 1607, and it worked. I'm wondering if a regular "pro" RS1 has the same issue with Edge, in other words is Edge on RS5 different from Edge on RS1? Cheers.

Nah, it's the stupid design choice to make Edge a Hybrid of SystemApp and appx instead of usual appx that updates via Store . That way older Windows builds will use outdated versions of Edge .

it is beyond me why someone would get ltsb & then add edge & store to it ? might as well get pro with all the bells & whistles. that is just like getting a cafe racer & then adding a pillion seat to it. might as well get a 2 seater motorcycle in the first place.
There have been discussions about this. For starters, not having to cope with the 6 months upgrade cycle. Besides chopping al the modern apps, I prefer adding the two that may be of some use. You're free to use what floats your boat, ltsc floats mine. Cheers.

I'm sorry guy, I have one more newbie question. If I install LTSC 2019 for example 17763.1 version , will I be able to update thru windows update to 17763.134 , or I need to use steps what Enthousiast told me here and that is only way to do update.
It's normal windows servicing, you can install 17763.1 and use the exact same script to update online, or manually by using dism commands. My explanation was for getting an uptodate iso to use for installing.
