If he upgraded keeping the installed apps, the kms activation also went over, or at least the remaining days of activation.
Yeah understandeble still there are activators that work with background meganics to keep activating being automatic and not have to reactivate manual after 3 months
Hi! What about the compatibility of Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 under Windows 10 LTSC? Has anyone tried such an installation? Does the security fence work without problems? Are there any errors caused by such an installation? I ask this because on the support of Kaspersky we quote the RS4 (partial limitation before the first start ...) but we do not speak yet of the RS5, the base LTSC ... Thank you for sharing your observations.
The gimme generation. This is sad. There are many people on this forum willing to help, but people need to expend a little effort at helping themselves. The info has been posted repeatedly but some are too lazy to read a little and expect others to spoon feed them.
I joined this forum, and spent weeks reading, trying, and studying before I started posting. I actually learned a lot.
Which build is the most recent? I'll have to reinstall Windows and i have a 17763.194 ISO, though i believe that's not the most recent one.
An iso of build 17763.194 is a homebrew iso, the latest official iso is 17763.107, the current CU is 17763.194.
OK guys. I've managed to create my 2019 LTSC copy from all the wonderful guides in here , and what I need is the correct way to go about things, lol. I hate Win10 with a passion, and just want a clean OS that works, and will update when I choose to do so, if ever. I installed my copy, but foolishly had it connected to the router, and bam, all sorts of nonsense updating, including Nvidia drivers with all the trimmings to boot, Grr!!! I have my own 'slimmed down' Nvidia set, aka drivers and that is it! So, would this be the correct way? (hey, at least I'm trying, lol!) Disconnect and install LTSC. Install MB drivers, chipset etc. Install Nvidia drivers. Somehow block updates via Group Policy if possible? Apply ones poison to activate Update using latest CU manually. Connect and hope? Any help would be much appreciated guys
Try WuMgr and control Windows Update by Yourself (+let windows defender definitions updates to do its job) https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-update-manager.77736/page-24#post-1490204
I'm still new to win10, was using win7 up until I got a new laptop. I was shocked by the crapload of crap in win10 when I first used it. Win7 was svelte in comparison, win10 is like a beast. Going to win10 from win7 most of the stuff with dism still applies. What I do is mount the install.wim with dism and among doing updates to the image, I set some registry keys and values by loading the hive from the mounted image. That way it boots up from a fresh install with WU shut off among a bunch of other settings including driver metadata. So no problem with things doing anything unexpected due to Windows update. That business with automatically installing drivers is a real problem, I pick my drivers and load them into the image with dism, I don't want them fooling with my drivers, that's over the line. In any case LTSC is great for me. I don't use any of that stuff it doesn't include so I don't have to fool around with removing it.
Hey All. Sorry for the dumb question... I've perused through a lot of the pages here but still unsure what the answer is. I'm just looking for the latest 1809 ISO for LTSC. Where do I get it? Is it the en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso? I prefer an untouched version from MS, not a homegrown one And is there a hash to verify it? I can't find any hash info on MS site for LTSC ISO's. I assume we can't activate eval versions directly from MS, otherwise that's what we would all be doing...? Again, sorry for dumb questions, new to the whole LTSC thing Thanks!
You can find all the download options at the OP: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...blic-1809-final-build-17763-1-107-pc-r.77945/ There you can find the tool which offers LTSB/LTSC and many more official MSFT iso's: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...3-ltsb-2016-2015-server-2016-techbench.77028/
One other question for everybody: During setup, it wouldn't let me use my Microsoft account to create an account, I had to make an offline account, then link my Microsoft account afterwards. Is this normal?
So, would ripping the LTSC ISO apart with Toolkit v9 be a good idea before install? I'm not talking everything, just a kinder approach, like the God damn 'F$$*%&n' kernel? Seriously though, would it?
