Haha, yeah there is worse than Windows believe it or not. I had an awful experience with an Android tablet I bought last year, hated that thing. It was cheap so I gave it away, otherwise I would have just thrown it in the trash.

 was it the cheap knock off hardware or was it android, or maybe a mix of both?

Twass just a remark, seen enough of questionable "evidences" and conclusions for one night.

I needed a portable device to run a single app for some hobby stuff so I picked up a cheap tablet, the brand was RCA. It seemed to work well enough as designed, just didn't like the way it worked and was really limited in capability. I know you can "jailbreak" Android to get more functionality, but I didn't want to mess with it. Decided to just hang on to my old laptop and use that instead.

I wonder the same. Is there any release history with all new features etc.?

I have been running LTSC 2019 for a week or so, for me I cannot fault it, better than 2016, 2016 is still good but I had a few gremlins with it.

i have dug and downloaded and checked around and cannot for the life of me find "LTSC N" bits anywhere. The volume license site itself gives the same exact ISO for LTSC and LTSC N 2019. Can anyone confirm if they have an LTSC N 2019 image anywhere? this is driving me bananas. thanks//

LTSC N only exists in the 17763.1 release ISO (can be downloaded here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...3-ltsb-2016-2015-server-2016-techbench.77028/)

In the re-release (build 17763.107) iso's they removed N from the LTSC iso's.

It's not advised to use N versions.

ps, LTSC iso's from MVS (MSDN) and VLSC are the same iso's, only different file naming.

The 17763.1 MVS ISO contains N version. The Refresh ISOs are interestingly missing it (both MVS and VLSC).

    thanks guys. great to know...

edit: i was able to in-place upgrade from 2016 LTSB N to 2019 LTSC N after getting the bits (keep settings and apps), but you need to run the dynamic update during setup. there is an error with a reference to the KB for the 107 patch otherwise.

one thing, it did remove my MAK activation, and revert back to KMS so i gotta dig up the MAK key for this version now...

why is N discouraged? i just need a base OS (no skype or media anything), and the N version is great for non-persistent VDI pools as well. plus if needed the media pack can always be added.

I'm doing some tests with it on a virtual machine. First bug detected: impossible to put the swap file on another drive than C:!

Yes, I splitted the VM hard drive into two partitions: C: and D:

It seems a bug with 1809 version.

It depends of the controller. Are you using VMware?

Do you see your D: drive as hotplug?
