[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Enterprise (N) LTSC 2019

Discussion in 'Windows 10' started by Tito, Feb 1, 2018.

There is 3 activators I see on the Tools page, which one would be the best to activate Windows 10 LTSC 2019 or Windows 10 Server 2019? Thanks in advance!

  1. So I shouldn't use ntlite or MSMG toolkit to remove or disable some things? I only plan to remove certain things not all, also would you recommend Windows server 2019 in that case? whats the difference between LTSC and server? Thank you very much! Are you saying you can do these in GPedit and GPO as well?

    Let me help you:

1- Download Steam/Origin/uPlay/Battle.net/Windows Store or something else.
    2- Buy a game.
    3- Install it.
    4- Play it.
    5- Profit!

Bonus: You can also play DX12 games!

Microsoft Toolkit developpment has been abandonned, use KMS-VL-ALL from abbodi1406 or KMS38 from s1ave77 (sadly forbidden here).

You always can...but surely not "blindly".
Don't know exactly which ones, but obviously some components are not recommended to remove. Feel free to ask to the professional butchers in MSMG thread :)

I personally would use MSMG toolkit only for integration (NTlite is not supported here).
Besides that, LTSC (or Server) are much lighter (already "debloated") than regular W10 editions, and you can disable all the extra stuff through GPO while keeping a stable OS (space is no more a concern nowadays, so why remove?)

Server 2019 is just a better OS in my opinion, no apps at all...like phone companion xbox etc. but depends your usage then...

  4. I really appreciate your help, I'm new here and do apologize in advance if some questions need to be asked elsewhere. I'm trying to do my best by reading as much as I can, but these threads have like 1,000 pages lol.

What is the difference between KMS-VL-ALL and KMS38? Correct me if I'm wrong please, from my understanding KMS38 is a HWID key that lasts 38 years if no hardware is changed, and KMS-VL-ALL is a service running in the background that renews? Which would you recommend?

I'll make sure to check out the MSMG thread, thanks. I just want to remove as much bloatware as I can, also disabling "unnecessary" features like Windows Search, Cortana, Windows Defender, and use my own third party software. I do plan on gaming and creating content with my OS, but I wouldn't need the MS store. Can I still game and create content on LTSC and Server editions?

There is no HWID that last 38 years it's a way to trick kms that normaly has te be renewed after 180 days but in this case it take untill a certain point that will last longer for renewal and for gaming I recoment LTSC and you can remove what ever you want with MSMG toolkit have a good one

with KMS-VL-ALL you have different options to install and it renew itself, or no install and you renew yourself manually before the 180 days...check the thread.
HWID is just the name for permanent key/digital activation, like some OEM pcs...you can activate regular edition with HWID but LTSC and Server can only get activated through KMS.

If you are planning on installing LTSC 2019 or Server 2019, your only option is to activate it with a KMS server emulator (KMS-VL-ALL) which is for 180 days only. You have the option to auto renew or manually renew it again.

LTSC and Server don't have Cortana and when you install a 3rd party Antivirus, Windows Defender will automatically be disabled. Yes you can create content and game in both OSes.

no, kms38 is the tool (forbidden here) by S1ave77 which gets you 38 years KMS activation...KMS-VL-ALL gives you "regular" 180 days, and it's fine though...
in 38 years we may be on Windows XX Cloud OS activated by a microchip under your skin or face recognition :D

Correction: 38 itself means the year 2038, which is the year until LTSB gets supported... :tooth:

No problemo. Just trying to help. I use LTSC 2019 and Server 2019 myself.

  16. Really? Thats great, I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions?

Whats the differences between LTSC and server? Can I use server for gaming and content creation? Is there any drawbacks? Can I remove/disable the server stuff (not gonna use them)? Will I need the media pack on either ltsc/server? I'm not going to be using the windows store. I'm planning on disabling search. Thanks in advance!

Sure. That's a huge topic though. I think would be better if we discussed it in the appropriate threads though. Plus you'll get more help from other members who are familiar with these OSes too.
