You can use this tool. It downloads the EVAL but then converts it to NON EVAL [TOOL] s1ave77s S-M-R-T SVF ISO CONVERTER
If I had to rate all the tools this forum makes available I think that one would be the winner, a real godsend. This has to be one of the most useful forums I've been on.
Me being from WinXP/Vista/7 era, TBH I thought it wasn't possible to convert an EVAL to non-EVAL ISO/edition but times sure have changed. Thanks again. Regards.
You never heard of delta-patching one file to get another? It's been around for ages, although most delta-patches only change a few Bytes. In other words: The SFV tool does not work with the ISO innards, it simply applies a differences file (called a delta) to the source ISO file to get the target ISO file. The fact we work with ISOs here is irrelevant, could be any other type of files.
I certainly know about it but if IIRC it didn't used to happen in Win7 times, it was certainly possible but original ISO were much readily available and SVF patches weren't necessary. PS: Let's not take this thread off-topic. Thanks!
As someone maybe remember i can't install LTSC19, cause the installation hanging from the beginning on the splash windows. No problem with every release coming from 1803 (W10 Home, Pro, Enterprise) or LTSB16. Now I have 2 boot.wim belonging to 1) LTSC 19 2) LTSB 16 Since every W10 version before 1809 is flawlessly bootable an insider told me that solution to install LTSC19 (not bootable) is to modify the LTSC19 boot.wim, removing the imageindex 1 WinPE (letting imageindex 2 setup_Windows10LTSC) and injecting the WinPE imageindex 1 of LTSB16. Can you suggest me how to do it in DISM or PS?
Yeah it seems to be working well for me. It has its little oddities, but generally works well. Hasn't crashed one time on me and I've been beating on it quite a bit doing software trials. A few recoverable lock ups from misbehaved software, but no blue screens. I think the fact the CU is still relatively small is a good sign.
I am still getting the "file type default application reset" issue, I thought it was fixed in an update already? Am I missing something?
It didnt work for me even with AV disabled i deleted the whole folder and downloaded ltsc 2019 then i got the SFV file from stack repo. Then it worked like a charm @s1ave77
hello, I am thinking of doing a fresh install of LTSC 2019 next month. I have old hardware AMD Phenom II X4 965 CPU, Motherboard with Legacy BIOS (MBR), 8GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GT 640, WD Velociraptor 1TB, HT Omega Claro Halo sound card. On Windows 7 now, I run mostly Mozilla Firefox, Media Player Classic-Home Cinema, Nero 10, Adobe Reader 11, Libre Office 6. Can people please share their opinions about my compatibility if I keep the same older hardware and same older application software thanks
The only reason I said that is that I read that some Fermi 6xx's aren't supported. I've never had a 6xx card so I was just repeating what I heard. The more I learn, the more I know that I don't know everything .
*snip ... it's official, doggie can't read carefully sometimes. The used GT 640 (not 610) is still fully supported in latest drivers. GT 610 and 620 are Fermi Rebrands hence the 500 series drivers have to be used.
