I’ve been searching online and can’t seem to find a definite answer: Will LTSC run with a Z390 motherboard and 9700k/9900ks cpu?
It runs on i3 8300 with B360 and H310C(R2.0) chipsets. Intel has an igpu driver for UHD630 graphics for w10 1809 so it should work on any 8th and 9th generation combination.
Where can I find the latest ISO of LTSC 2019 language pack? Does LTSC 2019 17763.316 have separate language pack or use those from 1809?
Same for all 1809 SKUs, incl. LTSC: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-17763-1-107-pc-r.77945/page-184#post-1482799 But LTSC ISOs are available in all languages too: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-svf-repository.63324/page-147#post-1504712
So LTSC is the best version if I just want a lightweight Windows without having s**t like automatic updates running the in the background? At one point MS did let you completely disable updates even on Pro versions in the earlier builds but they stopped allowing that.
What do you mean by "Windows without having s**t like automatic updates running the in the background?"? LTSC gets the same updates as all other 1809 SKUs get. Can't remember when MSFT would allow to completely disable updates either.
I just don't want to OS searching for updates or download any updates in the background unless I tell it to.. Sort of like on Windows 7 and 8... I have a s**tty Atom 2GB pc so I need the least amount of resources being used as possible.
On my LTSC, I disable updates in group policy, and also in services You might also want to disable Defender, and Windows Search Indexing, and sysmain (superfetch) If you disable Defender, you should setup and use a standard user account instead of an admin account, set user account control to always notify, and use Mozilla Firefox with noscripts and popup blocker
^ hello friend within the group policy editor settings there are many more things you need to look and set up starting in very important Computer Settings \ Windows Settings \ lot to examine, reason and apply later within the administrative models there is much more and never forget to use common sense to disable / enable something because you have to remember that everything is tied to services (services.msc) and also Windows task scheduler BEFORE leaving changing everything without knowledge because if you randomly will destabilize the operating system completely ok.
