Just tried this iso en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso from reddit DL link, also found this post and i got to ask...what are the chances of getting infected or ISO with backdoor? Obviously begers cant be choosers but still, realistically speaking? . I initially bought activation key on ebay and guy had Chinese Enterprise(china apps present) ISO...i figured chances are pretty close to getting hacked via China ISO vs Reddit lol PS i must say LTS is awesome, i was afraid changing from Win 7 would be gut wrecking but bloat free and fast its just amazing.
If the iso you have matches the official SHA1 of Microsoft it doesn't matter where you got it, zero chance of infection Get though the February 2019 updated one from here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...b-17763-xxx-pc-rs5.77945/page-51#post-1467631 The reddit one is the original one, you can avoid downloading some updates with that
I would not say zero, since sha1 is no longer secure. if sha256 is not available, both sha1 and md5 need to be matched (separate collisions can be generated but not for both)
You can even check SHA-256 on the newest ISOs, or compare the size of the file. But nobody here will upload infected ISOs, why should he/she?
Hello, please pardon me if I missed something. I'm in trouble to install WIN10 PRO 1909 on a second disk of my PC which has LTSC as main. I would like to have a second boot option. When I launch the setup I have the impression that it is going to "upgrade" my LTSC and not asking for a different location. I'm using GPT. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
When you launch setup.exe you actually are upgrading, boot from the pro iso and install it on a separate partition/disk for dual boot.
Thanks man , i never really put much research/understanding in to sha1 and others until now I did not say specifically here, but why does anybody do anything anywhere ever? Here there, anywhere? Nothing personal but I hope you are less naive in your day to day grind...
We have a lot of familiar uploaders. And I'm not naive, I don't think anyone will upload something like that here. And in addition to that, I always check SHA-1, to make sure the file is downloaded without corruption and complete.
