LTSC is based on 1809, the worst OS release since ME. We need to step back a bit and figure out a way to make it work, since MSFT is incabable of doing so. I think that's why the thread is getting "derailed" with scripts and fixes. And LTSB seems to be being used as a reference to compare differences. LTSC and 1809 are a disaster right now, so I can see why the thread is going off-topic.

Nah, not a disaster :cool2:. My notebook (quite old C2D with 4 GB RAM and SSD) was upgraded from LTSB to LTSC and besides the fixed CPU bugs i couldn't find any issues.

Watching cable TV via a Haupauge usb pen while surfing the net and some tool checks if forums posts imply failure ... all smooth with no problems .

Not seen any fixes posted. Can you list the "bugs", so people can estimate if they are overall or local problems, ie, i have no problems with brightness at reboot, no audio problems, no blinking with dark backgrounds, etcetc,,, my system isn't even officially supported on 10.

I'm not having any problems either. I use Process Explorer instead of task manager and I didn't have any KFR folders. My point is that MSFT pulled 1809 because it's flawed. 1809 is not ready yet for general use, and LTSC which is based on 1809 isn't ready yet either. So this whole thread is about an unfinished OS.

Edit: I have 2 hauppage usb tv sticks, an 850 and a 950 They're working great with 1809 for me too.

Iirc a Setup error not any general system flaw :cool2:.

Inconvenient the most, on the other hand having no backup needs to be punished.

Overall the issue discussion created a lot of F.U.D. lately.

We already know what the bugs are. Data deletion and user profile deletion are at the top. Does that not qualify as a disaster?

m$ has released 17763.103 17763.104 to insiders, so looks like another update is coming and they also fixed task manager bug in this build.

Data deletion is fixed by pre-integrating the SSU/CUa and insiders get them when upgrading by WU too..

Last night i let WU run (RP ring) on my system and it left all user files untouched, it upgraded to 17763.17 (it was paused by me for some days) by WU.

Plus i don't get it why people on LTSB/C would want to upgrade anyway, they installed it because they don't get/like feature updates, but it seems many LTSB/C users want feature updates.

"If folder contains data, do not delete". A very simple programming concept I could implement in my basement in batch script but MSFT with all their brilliant programmers apparently could not. I don't see the backlash from this idiocy as being F.U.D.

i use usb tethering in android to use internet on pc and the driver for that is bugged in ltsb and i have to manually install drivers for different phones... so can u tell me that is it fixed in windows 10 builds after 1607 especially in 1809.

The thing is, you have to do something special to fix 1809.
And I'm sticking with LTSB because I don't need the LTSC data deletion "feature."

I agree about it all not being ok.

But, like @s1ave77 also said, the amount of gut feelings and other fud is growing with each new build, but we never see any of the complainers reporting anything when it's still being tested, most are so indoctrinated that they all want to block telemetry, not even knowing what they are doing but they seem to know that telemetry is bad.

That's exactly what i meant. You don't seem to get it, the delivery mechanism is bugged not the build :cool2:.

hmm I do not just think of telemetry this is easy to "control" I think something is not right with this build in terms of reliability / stability...

u know what i also block telemetry and update with 3 softs win10privacy, sutup10 and spybot antibeacon... and thats because telemetry increases ping in my games and slow my internet speed (which is already slower) and updates also slows speed and uses data (which is limted here 1.5gb/day)... and here some people fears using internet on windows 10 as it slows speed and uses data... So we have legit reason to kick M$ face by stopping update and telemetry...

M$ should also support low speed and data users.

I meant telemetry giving MSFT a lot of info, but when people block it like it's the plague, not much info is going to be useful. And we only see a lot of attention when a new build is out of the Insider rings.

got LTSC 2019 running smoothly on server hardware with Xeon CPUs and ECC memory.

a few glitches and minor bugs but overall very stable, seems to run better than on retail hardware.
all my user folders are still there, nothing disappearing, no problem with audio, USB, network.
I use the untouched ISO and performed all the tweaks and optimizations after install.

so I believe that it is better to wait less to certify what is the world reaction regarding its stability and confidence remembering that it is a system different from the usual ones of M$FT
