I don't understand WTF MS is doing with this built. So they tried to release a new built with tons of new FEATURES, but could not fix a simple, basic OS function - disk optimizing/defragmenting? Is this broken disk optimizing function also part of their beloved features? Shame on these clowns/morons.
MSFT didn't release anything, it's still in SLOW/RP ring, speculations online mentioned release dates, BLB posted that they not set a release date.

I agree, Ventoy is turning out to be a great tool. It was released just a few weeks ago and has seen some nice updates already. Yesterday, 1.0.0.8 was released, with the new option for submenus, etc. I contacted the author to ask about a topic here on MDL, I think Ventoy deserves it. There is a topic on Reboot.pro, but that site is down atm.
Is the DISM corruption bug related to bug where startcomponentcleanup is unable to cleanup previously installed CUs and causes component store corruption?
Can someone explain the purpose of the StartComponentCleanup command and when you want to run it? If I did an install of 19041.1, then updated it to 19041.208 with the cab file via DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\19041.208Update.cab do I want to run StartComponentCleanup? When the next patch comes, say .209, and .208 is updated to .209 do I run after it applying that patch too?
