if it would be that simple, you would’ve known that service. i’m assuming it will enable itself again after some time like the Windows Update service does

    Windows Update Blocker (WUB):
    1) Stops the Windows Update Service and sets it to "Disabled".
    2) Stops the Windows Update Medic Service and sets it to "Disabled".
    3) Stops the Update Orchestrator Service and sets it to "Manual".

The few articles I've read say that Windows 10 will automatically reset the Update Orchestrator Service after awhile. So I guess I need to study the interplay between this group of services a bit more.

  2. Can someone provide me with a solution to how to remove Microsoft Edge and stop it from updating? I don't even use Edge Canary, yet, it is constantly updated and I'm low on bandwidth.
How can I completely remove it or at least block updates?
I deleted services, however, they are back.
    I'm using 19043.906.

If you are on Pro or higher, set group policy to disable Windows Update.
If you are on anything lower than Pro, then you should probably not fiddle with Windows Update as it is not meant to be user/administrator managed.

I am presuming you mean the following group policy. If you mean a different policy, then let me know.

  14. no need to use any tool just set au option to disable automatic updates.

there are several wu policies so you must try only those of your need only . leave rest as ignored.

for me i always set disable driver updates through wu as well set au options to no auto update . its sufficient for me though.

theres a new arrived service for wu via update health tools too uhsvc.

It is another way of doing it, but it is not the "professional" way.
