What is great about it and what changes do you notice in this edition? I use it also (had Enterprise, activated WS using the key) but I don't see anything different , maybe better memory management ,,, I notice mem percentage is only 60% (I have 8GB ram) using MS Edge with 18 tabs whereas before , I had 70-75% mem used running the same apps
Comparing with WHICH edition? Say in Professional seems that since 16251 it is impossible to format volume using ReFS but as soon as I've activated ProWorkstation, this opportunity became available.
Love to know what's special about 5:30 pm EDT...(2:30 pm PDT). I'm expecting, "Well, several of our key people blinded themselves by looking at the eclipse with no eye protection, and as it will take some time to hire replacements, we might have something in 3-4 weeks, maybe." (Not really, of course!) As 16257 is running great for me atm with no problems--trying to figure out how they messed up the next builds so badly--a real puzzle. Not that it's so important to me--what I'm running is fine.
There are a lot of bugs for fix so maybe we can get the a pre release candidate the next build after the new one that is going to be released hopefully this week
It has been long weeks without a new Build. I cannot really phantom how the bug is having a hold on Windows 10 Build developers. Nevertheless, I would want to test any new release as something recommendable if the system-wide bug is finally forestalled.
Still waiting for news from Dona on a new build ... do I miss something? didn't she promise an update on a new build at 2:30pm pdt?
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-windows-10-edition.74909/page-4#post-1365577 But how easier do you want it? Change the paths and index nr's (home(sl) or cloud) according to your scenario and copy all the lines below and paste them in the DISM CMD (the one installed by the ADK): Code: dism.exe /Mount-WIM /WimFile:"x:\install.wim" /index:1 /MountDir:"y:\mount" dism.exe /image:y:\mount /Get-CurrentEdition dism.exe /image:y:\mount /Get-TargetEditions dism.exe /image:"y:\mount" /Set-Edition:ProfessionalWorkstation dism.exe /Unmount-wim /mountdir:"y:\mount" /commit imagex /flags "ProfessionalWorkstation" /info "x:\install.wim" 1 "Win 10 IP Pro-Workstation xx-XX (16257.1)" "Win 10 IP Pro-Workstation xx-XX (16257.1)" And all will be done for you
It may seem "strange" to some but I just use Outlook (I have three accounts) so I can not answer that.
Let's wait and see what will become of tomorrow release. Not that the tone is absolutely affirmative, looking at what I can see from Dona's tweet, but there is hope will might get a new Build tomorrow.
