    On real hardware no problem with clean install, on VMWare upgrade by WU no problem too still testing, only clean install in VMware halts after initial boot.
    Will test x86 18346.1 too :)

    The x64 18343.1 > 18346.1 Upgrade in VMWare also hangs at the blue windows logo...

    18346.1 is excellent knock on wood so far clean installed feels like way windows should be , i think it is almost finished build 18378.1 should be IT!

    The HAL of the 64bit version of build 18346.1 is not compatibel with vmware workstation/player up to the latest version:

    WinBSOD: Synthetic MSR[0x40000100] 0x5c
    WinBSOD: Synthetic MSR[0x40000101] 0x110
    WinBSOD: Synthetic MSR[0x40000102] 0xfffff7fa8001f908
    WinBSOD: Synthetic MSR[0x40000103] 0x19
    WinBSOD: Synthetic MSR[0x40000104] 0xffffffffc0000001

    This is BSOD 0x5c (HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILED) with status 0xc0000001 (STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL).
