So next week will fast and slow insiders and public win 10 all be upgraded to win 11, so we all start again as equals?
Quick question: Does Insiders builds update to the next one via Windows Update? Or i have to build a iso each build?
Considering it is a total WU project, WU will offer you dev channel builds by default when on dev channel installs.
Thanks Enthousiast. Works great and fast. Just a question. Exists a workaround with the TPM 2.0 instead of copying the install.wim of Win 11 to a Win 10 ISO?
My thoughts about the TPM stuff: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...nel-co_release-leak.83658/page-8#post-1666691
I can confirm that out of curiosity, I purchased a TPM 2.0 module for my Ryzen ASUS motherboard, which cost nearly €9. I Installed the module, powered up the PC and ran the Windows 11 setup... it installed without error, with no ISO or Image hacking, just the plain Win11 ISO.
I personally think there will be at least a couple of small feature updates to come for Windows 10, before MS says no more feature updates.
Question: Since this is the latest insider preview for x86 machines, is it safe to assume that we need to rollback to a 19043 or 19044 build since this one expires on October 31st?
Just a reminder that this build expires at the end of the month. I guess I'm going to mount the 11 RTM ISO to upgrade since I no longer want to be on a Dev build (which I could get to via WU) given that in so many ways 11 < 10 and I need to augment 11 with something like Startallback, which is less likely to stay working in Dev (if it works at all). The question I have is whether I should un-enroll from Dev channel before or after doing the above. If I do it before, I run the risk of Windows doing something crazy and not letting me back in. I really don't want to clean-install. It seems like I should be able to do it after.
When you're now on a 22000+ dev channel build then you will have to do a clean install to be able to run 22000.xxx.
So you're saying I should unenroll now and then get on 22000 RTM? It's been many years since I've switched channels so I'm not sure what to expect. I know there's a way to get to the latest Dev build without a clean install, so there definitely should be a way to get to 22000 (RTM) without clean installing. But if there isn't, I'll just suck it up and stick with Dev.
No need to unenroll, the clean 22000.xxx install won't be enrolled by default. Switching channels only works when done upwards (retail > releasepreview/beta/dev) or between release preview <> beta. You can't downgrade from dev builds to public without clean installing the public build.
