I really don't get what 10586 or any other non Pro-WS install has to do with it? Just install 16278 pro-ws, activate it by using the product.ini non gVLK pro-WS key and upgrade to a more current pro-ws and it will have a free hwid. gatherosstate.exe also generates a working genuineticket.xml.
My brain isn't/wasn't working ... I'm trying to incorporate the previous digital license that is tied to the PC hardware New Method Save the genuineticket.xml for the digitally licensed PC you're upgrading to Pro for Workstations Clean install 16278 Pro onto your PC Apply your previously saved genuineticket.xml You now have a digitally licensed copy of 16278 Pro Activate (upgrade?) 16278 Pro to 16278 Pro for Workstations using non gVLK pro-WS key ProfessionalWorkstation=XXXX-7YMDX 16278 Pro > 16278 Pro for Workstations Run gatherosstate.exe to generate a new genuineticket.xml for Pro for Workstations Clean install pre-converted 16299 Pro for Workstations Inject your newly made genuineticket.xml that is for Pro for Workstations Done Is this right?
Why do you keep on posting these methods, with all those obsolete side steps? This is all that needs to be done to establish the HWID: Code: Just install 16278 pro-ws, activate it by using the product.ini non gVLK pro-WS key and upgrade to a more current pro-ws and it will have a free hwid. gatherosstate.exe also generates a working genuineticket.xml.
I can understand your frustration. It was not clear to me if I could use a later build. So, you are saying I could use any build, converted it to PfW and installed the PfW with the mentioned key to activate?
I have the feeling i am repeating myself over and over, this post should be clear enough: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...o-for-workstations.74909/page-55#post-1408176
Upgraded Pro workstation 16299 to 17074.1002 thru WU. To my surprise it ended up with workstation instead of pro. I guess MS is getting closer to making WS a legit SKU.
RS4 SKU strategy has significant changes that leads to Core family using EditionPack-Core, and others using EditionPack-Enterprise (No more EditionPack-Professional). All SKUs are determined by it's unique EditionSpecific package. So, it doesn't matter so-called "License Switch" anymore.
Hello all is there anyone who can share a pre-set workstation 1709 on mega to download I only get error 87 with dism and I'm going crazy
With 10 Pro and LTSC 2016 I use the high performance power setting. I set everything to no power saving at all. I disable all "disable this device to save power" in device manager, which includes wifi adapters and usb. Basically every performance improvent option I know of including setting the hard drive timeout to "0" (never) and doing manual updates so my computer isn't thrashing the hard drive and sucking resources when I need performance. I set laptops on the "balanced" or "power saving" power settings. I'm curious as to how this "Ultimate Performance" power plan will compare to that. I suspect bulls**t marketing gimmicks similar to the existing game mode. We need benchmarks.
So.. after updating to 17604 (Pro Edition), I entered Workstation key and activated using toolkit , I noticed the "Ultimate Performance" power profile was added. So it means it worked?
