I can confirm that powershell command: "Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online" is messing with my keyboard I had to make a system restore due to non-responsive keyboard. I tried the same procedure again: powershell command, installed "Mail, People and Calendar" app from market, restarted and again my keyboard is non-responsive. Forgot to mention, I'm on a Atom Netbook...
Maybe scrolling in the Modern apps finally work after installing it? -- EDIT. Nice! Scrolling in the Modern Apps now works. Although, after installing update is necessary to open touchpad settings and configure it.
I have done the update succesfully 9926 to 10041. This one seems better et faster. But i have a problem : I can't use the safe mode : after login i have an error message : Did somebody have the same problem ?
thats because it is a big piece of metro s**t overlaying the explorer shell and also tied into crappy cortana and related search service which is why I want the non Xaml version back if your system is busy or your cpu is not the fastest this delay will probably happen
When I first installed Win 10 (build 9926) I noticed that Windows Explorer had been renamed to File Explorer. At first I didn't think anything about it. I just thought it was another stupid meaningless change -- changing the name of something just to make it different. But, in reality, they have fundamentally changed how things work. You probably remember the old Windows XP trick of changing the text on the Start button (I changed mine to say 'Stop'). You did this by using a hex editor on explorer.exe (aka Windows Explorer). That's because in previous versions of Windows (Win 7 and earlier) the desktop and Start Menu were part of explorer.exe That's why you could right click on anything on the Start Menu and copy, delete or rename. You could add things to the Start Menu by dropping a shortcut into C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu But now, all of that is gone. And it sucks. When Microsoft was working on Windows 8 they got rid of the Start Button and Start Menu because, supposedly, people said they never used it. And I can believe that. I never realized how much I used (and liked) the Start Menu until I installed Windows 10 and didn't have a real Start Menu any more.
If you want to get back to the old school start menu there are a lot of ways to do it even free if you want or pay 4-5 dollars
I don't use Inventor, but I use AutoCAD 2015 frequently. It behaves just like all other Windows programs I've tried, that is to say that it works just as well or better on Windows 10 9926 than it did on Windows 8.x or 7.
LOL, It took me hours to remove all the AMD CCrap (and Realtek Crap too) Limited storage on this device and almost 1GB worth of bloat was taking up needed space. I don't use Metro apps much, so I'll just sit here and wait for an update. While bitchin' and moanin'
Look at it this way every time there is a Leak aka 10036 Microsoft wakes up and leaks one better, newer build aka 10041. I bet Microsoft have been watching these forums you know, its like a game of cat & mouse, but its sure is addictive and fun!
Anybody know what "about:flags" does? type that in your ie 11 & hit enter. It opens up to experimental features! After you enable it...save and restart the internet explorer.
Now thatz funny, old dog, you got use to using windows 8.1. I still enable the quick launch toolbar on my task bar, like windows vista, because I like my programs on the right side of the task bar beside my clock (right handed) and not where they get pinned. That way I search for nothing .... unless I google it. We are both old dogs . Regards
I always turn transition effects to off. Advanced system setting - performance settings (fade, transition etc.). Than all windows open instantly. Why we need these effects to slow down production and increase resources we are not sure Regards
