Same here. Clean flashed .2033 after realising shortcomings of .2152. One bug which I've found on both is in usb flash drive connected to my pc , when I try to shift+ delete any file, in the delete menu it shows the size as 0 bytes for some reason.
.2152 bugs spotlight not work for desktop background it is blocked on the 4 images from japan ! explorer 3 dots open up
Yesterday I had problems with Window Update too, but I were using WIndows 10. Probably another Microsoft outage or something like that
Whats your definition of "noticeable" ? I did some benchmarking regarding this recently and results were measurable and consistent but thats about it (less than 5% even in "best case" scenario) Maybe it depends on the HW/SW platform itself (Alder Lake + LTSC 2021 in my case), or maybe i didnt have enough games in my test suite. Also i was comparing fully Hyper-V enabled system vs. virtualization extensions fully disabled in BIOS (and hence neither Hyper-V nor VBS working)
It was always about old and weaker CPUs / RAM Anyway, even on your hw you got consistent results This garbage is fine on workstations, home users should kill it with fire asap just like spectre / meltdown and exploits protection bs
Hmm i surely can retest those biggest offenders on some more older HW indeed, but based on the results so far i don't consider it that big of a deal, especially since i utilize virtualization stuff personally. I will give this a try and report back if it gets rid of the (already small) perf. impact while still being able to use Hyper-V, for a win-win situation. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...an-tank-performance.84203/page-2#post-1847230
seems faster the OS itself and benchmarks like Finalwire AIDA64 better results and no popups saying VBS, ETC running. I believe with in enable cause 12-15% loss of your PC performances strange part is it does not affect gaming no lost either way VBS On/Off what is weird.
not much Spoiler: spectre / meltdown Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "FeatureSettings"=dword:00000000 "FeatureSettingsOverride"=dword:00000003 "FeatureSettingsOverrideMask"=dword:00000003 that may not be enough these days, but I don't really care much Windows Defender -> App & browser control -> Exploit protection -> disable everything except CFG (you can't use WSL if CFG is disabled) Windows Defender -> Device security -> Core isolation -> disable everything (I don't need everything in this list, but you can just turn off Core isolation) hypervisor is automatically enabled in 24H2, so I disable it in the bootloader Code: bcdedit /set {current} hypervisorlaunchtype off I don't have Virtual Machine Platform enabled because I don't usually use WSL / WSA anymore that's it, sys info says VBS is off on my system
Is there a fix for Windows Update cleanup introduced in later versions of 26100? There is a report that space taken it not reported correctly, etc. Is there a fix for that?
No, it is acknowledged but not fixed yet. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1857098 Some insight: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1857111
