iot ltsc is a good choice. but looks that MS begins to destroy it, telemetry, force dump generation appear in recent upgrades.

The myth that LTSC is good has already crumbled.

It's never been "better", it's just no in-box apps(achievable without chopping with just customappslist in uupdump) and more control(just like education, for example). Down underneath all that it's the same exact windows. Editions don't "make anything better" per se, they just allow you to do more stuff the higher you go.

I tried W11 Enterprise LTSC build 26100.1742 and I did not find it to be more performant. I intentionally install it on an hdd and it booted sluggishly just like consumer W11 and it consumes roughly the same amount of ram in idle, freshly booted. It did have smaller disk footprint due to lack of modern apps, and that settings related to ads, suggestions, recommendations, etc. are not available; in fact they are disabled by default.

why would it? only reason to install it is if you don't want any build upgrades and want to keep the exact same system as long as possible without ever worrying about updates or new "features" breaking your system.

Does today's mandatory security update fix the recycle bin issue?

26200.8875 Went smoothly, not an Armageddon, unlike last previous updates: no new feature as usual

It's not like before; the SID is still used for the directory name in "C:\Recycle Bin\" instead of "Recycle Bin"

Yeah, it doesn't resolve the problem for me. I still see garbled text (USN Journal entries for deleted items) in my Recycle Bin instead of actual file names and there is no way to sanely restore accidentally-deleted files. What a mess...

You could be surprised what is causing this at some times.
