I agree, i think that´s the way it should be: you don´t like it? you don´t use it and that´s it! people who don´t like changes on win 11, should stop complaining "i don´t like this & i don´t like that". after all, it is a free update and again: if you don´t like it, don´t use it. there is plenty of alternatives like stay on win10, install some linux distribution or buy a Mac etc...
They got exactly what Microsoft told them this early, unfinished, bleeding edge preview is. No more, no less. It's not down to them if morons can't understand what is being offered and act appropriately. They tell you what the changes are, what isn't in yet, and assume some level of brainpower on the part of the user (which is why its an INSIDER build...) to work out that things that are obviously not done yet are not done yet. They have been VERY clear about what is. It's not their fault if people can't understand that.
Interesting. Flashed mine to a USB 3 stick exactly as per the instructions and got the very weird result I did.
Hi there to everyone, Just a quick question: I'm trying to build a 22000.51 iso file, to be able to install it clean. But I cannot get the UUP (neither this uup.rg-adguard.net nor uupdump.net ) to build it for me. Both methods always build a somewhat borked 22000.1 iso, which installs fine, but has some things from the first Dev build. Am I missing something? Is this normal or happening to someone else? Where / How can I get a working 22000.51 iso version? Any guide? Thanks for your time. Stay safe
Same here, I always get a 0x800f0988 error when integrating the KB5004564 in UUP > ISO, so it creates a 22000.1 ISO, not a 22000.51. Any solution?
Try this: Do not include the Home edition in your selected uup download script. Everytime I did that, it reverted to 22000.1. When I only included Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Enterprise, I got 22000.51. ‘Don’t know why it does this.
For me what I did was set ` Code: AddUpdates =2 in the uup-converter-wimlib config file. If I set it to 1, it just adds Home, Home N and Teams to the image, leaving out the Pro version. With option #2 I get Home and Pro integrated but the build is still 22000.1 when upgrading. The good thing is I can just go to Code: Sources/$OEM/$1/UUP and run the Update.bat file as an admin and there I get it to update to 22000.51. I did an upgrade, so I'm not sure if Clean Install would work as expected and install the updates there.
Didn't @abbodi1406 fixed that very recently? Best not to include teams in the first place. EDIT: he seems to be working on it: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-10-esd-repository.59082/page-163#post-1670616
I have my cloned repo up to date with his latest changes. When using AddUpdate=1 it still only added Home and Home N. It also happened with older Windows 10 UUPs > ISO. I'll try recreating it without the Teams and see if it is successful.
Every time I left default choice and added additional editions I would get only Home, HomeN and Teams as choices in setup. Leaving out Teams and adding additional editions gave me all choices including pro and built a 22000.51 iso, clean installed to 22000.51 version. 22000.51.210617-2050.CO_RELEASE_SVC_PROD2_CLIENTMULTI_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO
Yeah when I downloaded originally I took the Pro-only route and got a full .51 iso. Looks like the cause and solution might have been found here!
The cause and solution were known for a long time, only sometimes teams is included (could simply be excluded by unselecting team on uup dump or manually delete the ppipro.esd from the UUPs folder). @abbodi1406 already is fixing this, i assume.
What exactly is the Teams SKU? I've tried Googling it and going through Microsoft's Docs (and the answer is likely buried under myriads of "Microsoft Teams" links) but I haven't been able to find anything.
Installed 22000.1 Had the centered Start menu for a while. Shut Down. Boot up gain. The Start menu opens up on the left like it used to in Win 10. Same as what somebody else has posted earlier in the thread. Is this because it is not activated? Will the KMS VL ALL work on 11? Installed on no TPM laptop with the "Windows 10 Media Creation Tool" install.esd switcheroo P.S. Indeed using KMS_VL_ALL removed the activation watermark and the Start Menu is once again in the middle.
You can start the classic explorer with explorer.exe c: But I couldn't find a way to pin this to the taskbar yet.
