Recently upgraded from W10 Enterprise IoT LTSC to W11 Enterprise IoT LTSC just to try it out. Why does W11 run so much worse on the same laptop? Everything is far slower than it was on W10, opening the settings app, file explorer, or any program with a UAC prompt which takes a solid 10 seconds to actually pop up. The animations are janky, and the overall experience feels like I'm using it on a laptop from the early 2000s with a painfully slow hard drive. Ryzen 7735HS + 16GB RAM + 1TB Gen4 SSD yet it runs worse than my old Intel 7th gen build. I'm running the same 24H2 build on my Ryzen gaming PC which works perfectly, but with the laptop its a nightmare. Already tried messing around with power plans and HAGS, but it made no difference.
Hi Installed W11 IOT Enterprise LTSC a few days ago all installed as a fresh install and went ok until as of today as Windows updates now shows the following message ? Updates failed We didn't find any updates that are published for your edition at this time. We will try again when the next scheduled update is published I have never seen this sort of message before and its failed now on the 2024 -10 October Cumulative update KB 5044384 ? Wonder what this is about I think something strange is going on here ? Anyone else seeing this or is it just me ?
ok after a bit for digging I found that the 2024 -10 October Cumulative update KB 5044384 is a bit of a problematic update all round which is failing for many people and perhaps the Windows update message is referring to standard 24H2 Home /Pro and just not happy to auto install on my version IOT LTSC ?? Anyway if it helps others I manually installed this failed update from the Microsoft update catalogue and this worked for me. However lets see what happens with any November cumulative update when it arrives later this month I certainly do not want to have to manually update each month ? We shall see ?

TBH, I would just stay away from 24H2 for probably the next 3 - 6 months until all the bugs are worked out. I'm still using 2021 LTSC and I don't plan on trying 24H2 again anytime soon. My goal is to stay on 2021 LTSC until I am forced to change. Everything I use runs smooth and there are no issues. Does 2021 LTSC look outdated? Sure... But I rather have a clean and stable OS over anything else.
It can be done by changing two keys in the registry, but as soon as you reboot, the changes revert because Windows recognizes it's LTSC. You would have to write a script to automatically apply the registry changes every time you boot the PC. Here are the registry items that would need to be changed: reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Feeds /v IsFeedsAvailable /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Feeds /v HeadlinesOnboardingComplete /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Hey guys, Please, let me ask a few questions: 1. I'm using Win 10 LTSC 2021 with abbodi1406's KMS_VL_ALL_AIO (v.045) and everything works. I downloaded Win 11 LTSC 2024 (en-us_windows_11_enterprise_ltsc_2024_x64_dvd_965cfb00.iso). Can I use latest abbodi1406's KMS_VL_ALL_AIO (v.053) to activate that versin the same way I did with Win 10 LTSC 2021 ? 2. Soon I plan to build a new PC. Can someone that is the owner of AMD Ryzen 9 7900x CPU tell me what is the CPU power consuption in idle power starge wtih Win 11 LTSC 2024 I'm asking since I read at reddit that people complain about Win 11 tend to make CPU consume much more power in idle stage compared to Win 10 with the same CPU. They report something like 60 Watts. 3. Since i'm currently using a very old PC, which is not meant for modern OS (even though I use it wtih Win 10 LTSC 2021 OS), can someone confirm that I can install Win 11 LTSC 2024, or the installation will stop, since I don't fullfill hardware requiremants for Win 11? Thanks and sorry to bother you with my questions. Kind regards!
Will be reverting back to W10 LTSC. Laptop is borderline unusable with 24H2. Really disappointing considering 24H2 runs like a dream on my PC.
