Hi, is there a modified Windows 11 or 10 LTSC version in which superfluous parts have been removed and the final size is smaller? Or how to decrease size?
On MDL we only share info and original unmodified ISOs. Compress the install.wim to install.esd Tools: WIM <> ESD or full ISO creation: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/win-iso-wim-esd-swm-handling-tool.78925/ You will shave 30-33% of of the total filesize.
Hi, does this version of Windows 24H2 LTSC support Bluetooth LE Audio? I have Bluetooth 5.4 but I don't see an option in the Bluetooth settings: Use LE Audio when available Are there any known methods how to enable support? So what's the current consensus on 11 IoT Enty LTSC? I would like to try it but last time I used 11 it wasn't very good (slow, some visual glitches here and there... lots of crapware...)
I just started using Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC as my daily driver last week, but I also keep a copy of my Windows 10 installation on a separate SSD so I can dual-boot into when necessary. For the most part, my experience on Windows 11 has been OK, apart from certain features or menu options that have been deprecated, consolidated, or rearranged elsewhere w/in the OS (compared to Windows 10) so it'll take some getting used to w/ Microsoft's take on modernizing the Windows OS. Windows 11 still has it quirks a/b it and growing pains you'll have to endure through, but it's not as detrimental from what I've witnessed so far. However, the good thing a/b Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC is it minimizes most of the bloatware that usually comes bundled w/ OEM/retail versions of Windows 11 so the OS doesn't get as bogged down or monetized w/ ads or telemetry. For comparison's sake, think of the Enterprise LTSC branch of Windows 11 akin to a modernized version of Windows 7, but in a Windows 11 skin. Hope that helps.
Indeed it helps, I will install it tomorrow. Any essential practices you (or anyone really) feel like recommending after installing?

Is the store really a recommended option to install on LTSC? why not run normal Enterprise then? The LTSC part will be ignored too as soon as MSFT releases the next LTCS after the three year period, normal enterprise also gets 3 year of support.
I don't recommend it to be an essential thing to install on a windows sku specifically not having it onboard
Why install the whole Windows Store on LTSC? it doesn't make sense. If you need a specific Windows Store app, you can install just the single app itself via download from MS, since they are not MS Store exclusive. I run IoT LTSC 24H2, and use remote desktop quick a lot, so I installed the MS "quick assist" app via downloaded installer from MS. There's also a MS App Installer that can help you install MS Store exclusive apps, just Google it
The Microsoft store is essential in order to install the single apps for certain MS games to run in Windows (and games redeemed/purchased directly from the MS store). Yeah, you could install individual apps such as the XBox app rather than the whole store, but since the LTSC branch is not updated at the same cadence as OEM/retail versions of Windows, apps such as the XBox app are restricted from being installed once the OS becomes outdated, but using the MS store to install those individual apps instead is a workaround. No one is saying installing the Microsoft store is a recommended option.
Actually, AFAIK, one of the reasons users install LTSC editions is avoid an installation of MS Store... To use MS Store you need to create (use) MS Account but many users prefer not to do that... That"s one more reason. Besides, IMHO, (IoT) Enterprise LTSC is not the right edition to download and install games, etc... For gaming better to install normal editions.
Well, that's 'a risk' I'm willing to take which I consider better than dealing w/ loads of bloatware and having ads plastered everywhere while using "normal editions" of Windows 11... And for the record, I use a local account to operate Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, but login through the MS store using a standalone MS account.
I literally have never ever seen one advertisement in windows XP/Vista/7/8.x/10/11. Don't they profile and collect data too in that scenario? Btw, i also have never ever used the store before too
