@cybery generally, yes, both LCU are needed kb5043080 require reinstallation if you add a langpack or feature (in your case you enable Net35) latest Cumulative Update (kb5070311 in this case) is always required
thanks again your answer were clear ! (sorry I didn't saw your reply when I was editing my previous post.)
In the end, it really comes down to preference for most users. But, if you're running a newer CPU like an AM5, Windows 11 LTSC will yield better CPU performance as it is more optimized towards those CPUs.
I'm running AM4 with 5600G and I'm not sure the gain over the weight/process is interesting..maybe, it's still too old..anyway..
A 5600G will run Windows 11 LTSC just fine, especially if you use at least 16 GB of ram. Even 8 GB of ram would be okay, but you might experience some sluggish performance when doing some tasks. With that CPU, it really comes down to preference. I still use Windows 10 because I prefer it, have tweaked my OS to where I like it, and everything I use on Windows 10 works flawlessly. Also, I don't like the direction Microsoft is taking Windows 11, so I plan to use Windows 10 for as long as possible.
I am using an old laptop with the specifications shown in the picture, I modified Windows, I use Virtual and Office Suite and the laptop works without any problems with Windows 11.
Hi everyone; I have been using Windows N LTSC for a long time and will go "N version" on. but wonder IOT. Whats is/are the difference(s) except for media feature pack.? Thanks in advance
Hello guys. I'm getting this update "2025-11 Aggiornamento della versione di anteprima (KB5070311) (26100.7309)" it means preview update ( i have Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC - 24H2 - 26100.7019). Is it normal to get that update?
Yes it's normal to receive preview updates on WU, though it's marked down as a optional update so you don't have to install the preview update and wait for the monthly security update that will be released on Tuesday. There won't be any December preview updates due to Christmas and New Year holidays, but they will be back in January 2026.
Wow, I just read the last 15-20 (approx.) pages of this thread and it seemed like it took forever to discover that the 22H2 EP does not enable any new features to LTSC 2021. But the 25H2 EP is a different story when it is applied to LTSC 2024. Firstly, LTSC versions of Windows are distributed as volume/business versions. You should never use MAS HWID to try to trick Windows servers into permanently activating LTSC versions of Windows. Only use KMS-VL-ALL. KMS is the preferred way to activate a volume license. The purpose of a Windows LTSC version is to freeze the feature-set and to only provide security updates from the Windows update server for an extended period of time (5 or 10 years). No future feature updates are to be provided over this extended time period. Yet, somebody at M$ decided to embed some features in Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 and to create a 25H2 enablement package to switch on the features. This contradicts the original purpose of the LTSC servicing model. It also appears to have resulted in a few other consequences. Firstly, possibly a reset of the IoT LTSC expiration date to 2028 and a change to the update channel to "General Availability". Correct me if I am wrong about this. I don't need any of the 25H2 features, so I do not intend to apply the 25H2 EP. But I encourage you to consider the consequences of doing this. It seems like it would just be easier to use the Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC iso and stay on 24H2. But there always seems to be this temptation to be the first person to have the latest updates. I have to commend Enthousiast, for his patience in dealing with all these posts.
MAS works perfectly fine for permanently activating Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 and the activation will also stick if you do a clean install after, both with a local account and also connecting to a Microsoft account (licence will be both tied to HWID and MS Account). I had no issues after 1 year doing so. Forcing 22H2 EP in LTSC 2021 is way more complex and will make it a "frankenbuild" and, yes, you'll lose the extended support when doing it as well. Installing 25H2 EP in LTSC 2024 is considered "official" instead as Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is included in the elegibile list of the final/official EP package which you can just download, double click and it will install without issues or any additional fiddling. Being this edition officially supported also means you will not lose extended support as you wouldn't land in a "frankenbuild" unlike LTSC 2021 injection. Staying on 24H2 in LTSC 2024 is considered more logical and safe considered the edition, sure, but many people who install it are not actually enterprises you know, but for example just consumers/gamers which only want an already debloated and lighter version of Windows 11 without all the telemetry, useless apps, ads and AI s**t MS is forcing down your throats nowadays, but still they don't want to be left out from apps and games they actually need in the near future when those may start requiring 25H2 as the new baseline for even starting. In worst case scenario, both from 24H2 and 25H2 you would still be able to direct upgrade to a future, newer Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2027 ISO (as an example) when it will be available.
Please, it had been a while since I've updated my source, please, is this the latest version for Windows 11 IoT LTSC Enterprise x64 I mean this post: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...2024-24h2-26100-x.88280/page-125#post-1862005
There is just one released MVS ISO in all languages, the 26100.1742 build (below you can find hpw to get IoT Enterprise 2024 in your language) https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1833792 Source ISO:: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854338 ps, the ISO link inside the post you quoted is working, but that is en-US only.
