I think he meant to say taking not talking (in bold) meaning he's not installing Beta or release previews... just waiting on the Moment 3/4 to be released. it's definitely safer and you can avoid some bugs instability.
No seriously he comes out with horse s**te thats more facepalming than anything trust me im not the only 1 who thinks it
I was just now wasting a few minutes perusing the posts on reddit.com/r/windows11 and I saw a number of posts (all from from today) about people suddenly and unexpectedly being offered the Windows 11 upgrade. People with hardware that most definitely doesn't meet the stated specifications, cpu too old, no TPM 2.0, etc. I'm not sure whether Microsoft decided to "lower the bar", or perhaps there was an anomaly on the Microsoft systems. Interesting, either way.
Microsoft pushed yet another broken driver for creative , i cant hide the driver because it auto installs straight away. Rolling back works but everytime i update driver that broken component will install It doesn't even install under components, it has a separate entry for audio object. If anyones sound ios broke check for 2.2.1.44 component
They also love to remove the latest Arc/Xe/770 drivers as soon as you install them and then replace them with drivers from over a year ago.
There are 2 cumulative updates for 11, 1194 and 1265. This 1265 in the catalog says it's security. In this case, this 1265 would not change anything in terms of performance, compatibility... I say 1265 in relation to 1194.?
Disable driver update via reg [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001 or via Group Policy Editor Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter to open Group Policy Editor. Go to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update -> Manage Updates offered from Windows Update. Double-click the policy “Do not include drivers with Windows Updates” in the right window. Click Enabled -> Apply -> OK to disable automatic driver updates in Windows
Its not a problem for me, the issue is that what you posted is needed by users that won't ever see your post and even if they did, they wouldn't understand it. The issue is that Microsoft and Intel can't seem to get their s**t together when it comes to how to handle new graphics drivers. Intel releases signed drivers with a newer date than what MS has in their update catalog and somehow, its too complicated for MS to just leave them installed. Intel is just as bad here though because they know this happening and know that this is making Arc/Xe/770 performance far worse than it should be, but they do nothing to address the problem.
