The freezing is what happens when you're being spied on. Background code is capturing all sorts of information and sending it to other parties. I'm talking about having your SSD/NVME read speed cut in half because Windows 11 is on your system instead of Windows 10. This has been going on for a long time and it makes Windows 11 look like crippleware.
It hasn't been happening on all systems. I've got 22621 on a couple of Dell Precision laptops that manifest the slow-down. It appears to be a widespread problem, but not on ALL devices. I'm not clear about how MSFT is handling this.
On my "new" second pc, a i7 4770K system with one Intenso 2.5" and one 970 EVO Plus M2 also no problems, it ran the previous canary channel build before i put 19045 on it for testing. Was that ssd speed problem not fixed the other week?
I've got Windows 10 back on those Dell laptops for now. Windows 10 read speeds have been much faster than Windows 11. I would have to capture the read speeds now with Windows 10, and then reinstall the Windows 11, and capture the read speeds again with the August patch Tuesday updates. in order to see the data. It doesn't sound like you're having any trouble with NVME performance for now. Mostly, I just wanted to know if anyone had heard if the SSD/NVME problem had been solved. I'm getting tired of going back and forth from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I guess I'm going to have to do that again to see if the latest updates have fixed the SSD/NVME speed problems.
It was meant for a client pc (i5 13400) but it didn't fit in his casing so i got it from him and reclaimed it for my secondhand projects
i remember modding my case one time to make the heatsink fit lol, it looked like a car hood with the engine sticking out lmao .was a longtime ago where budget was key, reusing the case from an old workstation, x79 build Ran supercool cool though i sold it on ebay eventually and came across the guy who bought it on a bios modding forum ...he loved it
