It needed a full UUP file set to do it, not the same as when on 22631 > 22635, there it only was a small EP install that did the trick.
I always get that lag with Defender in the background, not without it. And I guess even they do not know, how it works, 3rd party AV does not disable Defender, it only disables it's realtime protection, it is still running and interfering, if 3rd party AV gets disabled, it kicks in, by design. So it is better to disable it for real.
Windows update says it updated to 22635.2419 but alas it didn´t according to winver, still shows 22631.2428
Same problem here... Joined the insider program (beta channel) and tried to update 22631.2428 IP RP to 22635.2419 IP BETA. The update failed and also lost some explorer features (tab merging, new address bar etc). I left the insider program and did a system restore so now I'm back to 22631.2428 IP RP.

"check to see if old ep's have been removed" Sorry for the ignorant question but what is an EP? I have the same problem, that's why I'm asking.
EP, aka Enablement Package is used to go from 22H2 to 23H2 for example. Windows 10 had also it's share of different EP's.
Thank you. And how can I check if I have an older EP installed, in order to remove it and update to the ltest beta?
You are welcome and for your other question I'm afraid I don't really know. I think maybe you can see it in your update history but I'm not sure.
Solved it by restoring a 22631.2361 backup from 10 days ago and the 22635.2419 installed and is now running! The mistake I made (I think) was to upgrade to 22631.2428 without being in the beta channel and then using offlineinsiderenroll to try to upgrade to 22635 which generated the error..
BoSL. I gave some false information, after rebooting the old eps are still there just do an inplace upgrade for some reason the first boot after install didnt show any ep what so ever , so sorry for that the new one is 10/10/23 ..check if you received it Also ..does anyone know if fast startup is forced in the new beta? there was hardly any loading time to logon screen? fast startup and hybrid is disabled on my system..very strange basically same speed as fast startup
Hello, If i create 22631.2428 iso and clean install with this iso, should i get "Configuration Update" to get new file explorer etc. or this features will be already included in this iso? Thank you.
