Not really easy enough to understand just trying to get it through to some is like teaching how to win hide & seek if your blind
There is so much rapid progress and updates rolling out these days that I have literally no clue what is what in this beta/preview/insider/canary jungle. I really miss the good old days when there was only beta, RC and RTM and the updates were Service Packs for the most parts. Seems to me that LTSC versions of Windows is somewhat like the good old days. With Windows 10 I started with 1507 LTSB, then I updated to LTSC 1809 and finally got LTSC 2021. This update period with years between seems more natural than the constant updates that gets rolled out. I hate it so much. I might consider update to Windows 11 once the LTSC version comes out.
Is it normal to have all the new features announced for 23H2, like the Copilot or the new Settings screen, yet the build to still show 22H2? I think I would still prefer a Service Pack/Feature Update model every 6 or 12 months, with a clear set of features, and an ISO on the release day. This modular enablement 4 rings of testing feedback hub stuff is... weird.
It's an old install from 2022 that was updated from WU, with that "latest updates" settings. Also have a VM with a en-us_windows_11_consumer_editions_version_22h2_updated_aug_2023_x64_dvd_4bc1b021 fresh install that got updated to have Copilot etc. but it still remains as 22H2 in that About screen. I think the functionality seems identical with what was advertised for 23H2
Did it install the 23H2 EP? This also not a 23H2 ISO. This is: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-11-svf-repository.83748/page-14#post-1807625
Shouldn't the version number change if I have Copilot and the rest of 23H2 features? This is how the update list looks.
The update won't show there, run this in an elevated cmd: Code: dism /online /get-Packages /format:table >"%userprofile%\Desktop\Packages.txt" There will be a txt file on the desktop. It should contain: Code: Package_for_KB5027397~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~22621.2271.1.26 | Installed | Update | 9/6/2023 10:25 PM Or higher. But the 23H2 should show on it when it is installed.
Really, how did you know that? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-ni_release.85327/page-347#post-1809101 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-ni_release.85327/page-347#post-1809104
