What would be the true solution for this then on Microsoft's end? Would they have to push a feature update for this or would they have to push a manual download fix outside of WU?
They fixed it: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-co_release.83722/page-175#post-1681907 For those with the faulty winre.wim, made by 22000.120, only have to replace the faulty one with the new one and all should work again. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-co_release.83722/page-168#post-1681251 Check the GiF at the bottom of the post.
Thank you. Just confirming the same, clean installed 22000.132 from UUP's - WinRE now runs fine when started from Windows.
Hi, how do I update to build 22000.132 without needing to format? Is there such a possibility? I'm on build 22000.220
Install the CU files manually using W10UI_10.8 - very easy and it works. The page to get them is linked a page or two back!
You mean your current build is 22000.120? 22000.132 is just CU not a new build so you can update normally
Did you go to the insider preview settings and enrolled into the dev or beta channel officially or did you use the script from here to enroll: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...without-microsoft-account.80145/#post-1670528
Only calculator and snipping tool updated. Mail and Calendar didn't (yet). 22000.132 on Dev Channel under supported hardware.
Rapidly losing patience with the "can't drag and drop via taskbar" crap at this point... FIX IT MICROSOFT.
