Does anyone else has significant graphical glitches throughout Windows GUI when you enable 10bit color depth?
Maybe I overreacted a little but I just feel it's counter productive to read 100+ pages to get 10 pages with useful info, It's overwhelming for new users as myself to skim through all of that. MDL is for all I get that but it lowers the efficiency and general "quality" of people who post here when everyone just posting whatever before doing a little reading first. If I install W11 I know it can have issues, I'm not reporting to microsoft about them, so I don't think I have a right to complain on forums about issues. I ask\search for solutions and that's it. I'm pretty sure many don't report to microsoft but still go on and complain about early releases. Perhaps expecting everything to be working flawlessly? I dunno.. I get what you're saying.. was just giving my 2 cents on this..
It is an issue though. Not that I am using the Widgets. It is an issue in the build whether people use it or not.
Well look at it this way. The other day someone was having a problem of an invisible drive. He had no idea that if you double install a Windows system without properly dual booting, the operating system will deliberately hide one of the drives. He thought it was a problem with this build. There was no way he was going to learn this without posting this information on this forum and experimenting. He learned and it had nothing to do with this build, but he became more educated because of that, and I helped him do that. Without forums like this for people to learn on, people might not ever learn things like that. I only learned that the system will make one drive invisible because I happened to read about it while researching dual boot procedures for my diskpart/apply image script I was working on. Most people probably have no clue that Windows will hide another drive if you don't dual boot properly. I know it can be frustrating to see pages and pages of information that you don't care about, but this forum isn't very bad about it. There really isn't many posts per page and if the posts are verbose and the first sentence or two doesn't grab your attention, I'm sure you probably just skip to the next one anyway. At least I do. Really the posts only seem to rack up when there's a new build or a leak or something. Then the forum gets really active very quickly. Anyway, have a good one. I hope there are no hard feelings over the ribbing I gave you.
I Have trouble with widgets, Just after windows 11 installed it worked for quite some time. However, what is happening now is that when I click the widget dashboard icon in the taskbar, it does it's little animation then nothing. It is basically just a fidget to play with. Not sure why the window no longer pops up with the widgets
I bet, the devs themselves are no longer using the desktops. The only explanation I have for you. Clearly, they are prioritizing touch devices with high resolution screens over what you and I, both prefer. Maybe we should buy them a classic desktop PC with a 16:10 aspect ratio screen for X-mas?
Disregard. Problem traced back to failing wireless receiver, NOT Windows Since upping from .51 to .71 both my Logitech wireless keyboard stops working and my Logitech wireless mouse stops working and the mouse cursor disappears, all at the same time, completely randomly. A reboot is required to fix it.
Hello MDL, Just a question though, did you try logging in via the Microsoft account instead of offline account? When I clean installed it using build Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22000.65 (co_release) amd64 from UUP dump, I use a microsoft account and it downloaded the latest fix .71 while in setup. Then when I enrolled on Windows Insider Program. It gave me the error of not meeting the requirements. I do not have the TPM only the secure boot on my pc. Question: Should I just clean installed again and use a offline account then I can enroll again in Windows Insider Program without issue?
Enroll by using https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...without-microsoft-account.80145/#post-1670528 ps, you can just sign in at the Insider app, no need for full windows online msa accounts.
Thanks Enthousiast, As always you've been really helpful to this forum for decades and I've seen it . Old MDL user here.
with a local account, i had to sign into edge browser to sync my settings in order for widgets to start working.. was going to anyways so nbd, but i could not add the email for apps through settings like i could in 10. glitch maybe?
22000.71 installed quickly using WU on both of my W11 setups. Hyper-V offline account w/ WU MS Test insider account w/ WU
