Yes I was, did you try as in this post. As detailed a few posts back. Use @abbodi1406 Offline Insider enroll script, turn diagnostics on full, reboot, run Store updates and everything updates. At least it did for me, quick and hassle free.
I wonder what way is to prefer updating to latest version for get best clean version updated to latest 1- going all the way updating 22000.1 to 22000.132 2- just go uupdump and download the latest 22000.132 fastest and easy way to do will there be any different way 1 I was told to do so when updating ltsc 2019 17763.1 to 17763.2091 so is way 1 also right way to do when updating 22000.1 to 22000.132 Thanks.
yeh I have wondered this, is it better on a clean install to load 22000.1 and let windows update it to the latest version first off, or download the lastest version from say uupdump, -- or is there no difference at all, both will identical on a clean install with no useless surplus files.
It's just one ssu/lcu, nothing "all the way" For clean install i would go for the uptodate ISO, else it will get updated during oobe (when connected).
Thanks, so next time I just pick the 22000.132 or higher on uup dump like other time its also much faster do it that way
How come since 2015, there was not even a single release blog post from Microsoft where it was mentioned, increased windows performance
Very true I did a fresh install and got the ice cream logo error crumble or something during the last oobe install
For clean installs, yes, for already installed OS i would leave it to WU or manually install the updates (using W10UI).
in terms of windows performance microsoft can only guarantee windows performance on single exact spec machine with only windows barebones; once you have different hardware and different hardware specs and third party software and frankensteined hardware/software/registry tampering then good luck as performance goes out the window for each; add in updates and that changes performance each time, add in new drivers and bios and firmware and that changes performance numbers; i can go on and on and then you understand the %$#%# of the request you formerly asked
Yes it's the best option to install Windows 11 using the latest update integrated. I noticed that clean installing 120 actually fixed missing translations in the start menu and in some other areas.
Hating something half as much is not loving it. You do have two monitors with the default Win10 wall behind your head so I think you were loving it well before
I don't know. The closer we get to October, the less confident I am that they will make any kind of big changes. Assuming they still plan on releasing this OS in October, that gives them about 2 months to finish and polish whatever final product they plan on releasing. I'll leave it there so I don't annoy people.
at this point its too late for any big change unless they're testing them internally in the co_refresh branch, and even if they do, they wouldnt have enough time to flight the build to insiders then fix the bugs insiders report. Just look at the new taskbar... is... uh... something? but its hella unfinished at 2 months away from GA
I am somewhat getting used to the unfinished taskbar but I am having a hard time with dual context menu and absence of refresh button at many places on new context menu. 7-zip being on legacy context menu is also getting on my tits.
Yep, I'm afraid you're right. What we have now is likely to be it. The rest is probably merely bug-fixing. It is disappointing.
