Actually, afaik, nobody got the new windows yet, only the seekers like us who know where to find the ISOs, the MCT, etcetc.., normal users only got the announcement on WU.
In one way this would really bum me out, after going thru the time for a clean install of 22000.194. However, when you realise the way M$ rollout these Cumulative Updates, even your latest clean install will be modified the next CU, so no advantage waiting for 22000.282 for a clean install.
Well, people who had it ship with their systems will, but if they're lucky enough to have constant internet access they'll be able to patch the broken mess that was the shipped version.
I still didn't see a laptop or pc being sold over here with 11 pre-installed, azerty just started putting badges on their webshop with "windows 11 ready", but only at the mainboard section. But anyway, would the average user know if something was wrong?
I do have a question for those more knowledgeable. We now have these methods of installing Windows 11 on non-supported machines. 1. M$ recommended registry edit for upgrades, or similar 2. Deleting that dll file before upgrading 3. Adding a registry edit to a clean install, a couple out there 4. Replacing that dll file before a clean install Are any of these "better" at hiding from M$ from future blocking of updates or upgrades.
All methods achieve the same for clean installs and upgrades, normal hotfixes won't be blocked, feature updates aka future upgrades we'll have to see, for now the bypasses work for dev channel upgrades and updates (22478.1012).
I have to let my brain try to connect the dots when comparing this remark to the user not knowing what would be wrong under the hood with win 11.
