Manually change the key with the command slmgr /ipk. Do not use Settings, or it will delete Standard edition and won't allow you to revert to Standard. (This way applies to Windows 10 as well. All depending on how many edition certificates located in C:\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\skus folder.)
Well, the OS is running fine, and I've done a clean install twice and this still happens after windows update. Either way, thanks for the help on trying to get this sorted mate
I will download the ISO you showed again and feedback. Which web site, please? SERVER.2016.RTM.X64.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT.torrent?
Microsoft Ignite is September 26-30 this year, so somewhere in there, I would guess. It'll be interesting to see if the MSDN ISO is slipstreamed or not, given the epic amount of time between .0 and then. I hope MS starts posting server-oriented update history details, too, since not much (if anything) in the Win10 one really pertains to Server.
Few questions from a noobie: 1. Will Win 10 drivers work on Server 2016? 2. Does Server 2016 have the same Wi-Fi password sharing feature as Win10 (Wi-Fi Sense)? 3. Will Server 2016 run off a USB drive like Win 10 Enterprise (Windows To Go)?
Yes, unless purposely blocked by the company who builds the driver (intel is used to do so on some VGA drivers, relatively easy to fix anyway) I don't think so, whatever it is. No problem I think, but don't expect to find the win2go icon in the CP
You can use the old MSC2012. Most of the options aren't needed in 2016, but it's still handy to enable/disable few useful things from a single place (shutdown tracker, passwords complexity, IE enhanced security, and so on)
