hi ... can I run DISM++ in an XPsp3pro x86 box to build a 7sp1pro x86 iso? ---- edit -- a reread of 1st post shows it requires Vista ... but maybe XP can handle three switches ... mount image, add package, unmount and commit
Is deleting the 'Replaced WinSyS assemblies' option on a Win7 system from DISM++ have the same function and do the same thing as doing a /resetbase which is not supported by the regular DISM on Win7?
Since it uses CBS model and a different engine to remove superseded components faster than native DISM. It should work. I remember Harkaz made a similar tool called Rebase to remove superseded components after win update. Sadly, no one was interested and project was abandoned.
Hi, i mounted install.wim (v1803) to a folder. when i remove features does not work. only i can disable features. what is issue?
This looks more like a replacement for CCleaner than a replacement for DISM. Also, it deleted its own language files! And now, its UI is fully Chinese.
..I use dism ++ to capture image, cleaning Windows Update cache and sfx folders, for Windows 10, I know imagex does all this, but I prefer dism ++, I hope dism ++ keeps evolving. Thanks!
Good afternoon, I need to reinstall Windows 7. I have the latest ISO build that I have downloaded from TechBench. I would like to use DISM++ to mount the ISO, scan and install all the updates [except any telemetry updates of course], save the image, unmount the image and create a new updated ISO image which I can then use for a clean install. Is this possible please, and if so, how do I use DISM++ to do this. Thanks in advance.
Use simplix updatepack with boss911 integrator, it will spit out an uptodate iso with all telemetry updates left out, plus it integrates an USB3.x driverinstaller. I am not a fan of redirections to other tools but this was exactly what you asked for.
Thanks for the reply Enthousiast, it is very much appreciated. I have already created an up to date ISO using the SIMPLIX UpdatePack7R2. I just wanted to create one using DISM++ to have a comparison for future reference please. I understand that these two methods can be used on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 & 10! Thanks in advance.
