    I modify my Server 2022 install.wim offline so it runs just like a regular client OS right after installing. No more configuring after installation (except for the default Settings). Saves a few reboots

    I don't mind the reboots and configuration, but I guess having a customized wim makes things a lot easier. Bit out of my league I must admit, mostly done things the tedious way, all the way back to configuring audio drivers in autoexec.bat or was it config.sys... @(\_/)^(\_/) @freddie-o , care to link any relevant knowledge source for this, or maybe you wrote it down somewhere else?

    Just took a lot of persistence, trial and error.

    I am quite weak with scripts and DISM, so, I had asked it, and I don't know if is possible to make a multilanguage version of Windows Server offline...

    Sorry I don't have any experience with that.
    Probably download the "languagepack-package" from UUP dump and integrate it to your install.wim.
    Better ask the ones who have done it already
    There might be a thread about it

  12. My Silence is the only solution i can provide. As everything else is already provided on 1st page of this thread . we can use our brain to mdify those scripts to work according to our needs.

    I can't install Windows Live Essentials 2012 in Windows Server 2022, as I get this error: An unknown error occurred. Error: 0x80040705 Source: DesktopExperience But it installs fine in Windows 10 and 11, and this error may mean that Desktop Experience feature is not installed, but in Server Manager, the Desktop Experience feature missing starting with Windows Server 2016, and also I have Windows Server 2022 Datacenter with Desktop Experience (not Server Core), so, how to fix this error? But however, it installs and runs fine in Windows Server 2008 R2, as it have Desktop Experience.

    I tried to install windows server 2022 on my old Dell micro pc a while ago but It required several drivers in the device manager which I could not find at all, so I had to go back to Win 11 which gives me all the drivers.

    @freddie-o

    Thanks a lot for that, I always wanted to create a similar batch file, but hadn't found the time to do it yet.
    This will save a lot of time with testing, etc.
    Nice work!!

    Me too. But since I was using Server on and off it wasn't a priority. I just suddenly decided to go for it a few days ago.

    Ouch! That's really a huge pain. Is there a fix for that?
    I have a laptop that can only do S0, no S3. Server 2022 would try to S3 sleep only thus it would shutdown instead of sleep.
