I had no success: Using Smartvs 37 64bit with the files (in the same folder als smartvs.exe): de_windows_10_business_editions_version_1803_updated_march_2018_x64_dvd_12063706.svf en_windows_10_business_editions_version_1803_updated_march_2018_x64_dvd_12063333.iso If I open the a smartversion file...the svf...it says "the initial version of the smartversion file was not insertet. Do you want to specfie the folder where the files are stored" Doesn't matter if I say yes or no...an error occurs. But it opens it...If I than try to extract it opens a window to choose a folder for the extract. If I do so it says "You must specifie a base folder for a version before extracting files....."
wow...that tool is great! Just checked it...and does very easy what I wanted to have. Much easier than the way I was going...
It looks like there is a workaround for a bug in privacy settings where Let apps run in the background resetting itself to ON on every reboot. This bug seems to not appear on systems which were upgraded from 1709 to 1803 but only on a fresh, clean installs of 1803. The solution is to create a DWORD registry key under: Code: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\BackgroundAccessApplications with name Migrated and value 4 After reboot, Let apps run in the background setting has stopped resetting itself to ON and remained OFF.
I want to express my great gratitude for the diligent work, for the help on any questions to the following members of the MDL Forum: abbodi1406, s1ave77, Enthousiast Thank you very much, guys! You are real helpers and friends!
