Is this still an issue? Downloaded W11 from official site, run it from Ventoy USB on Dell Optiplex 3040 (that previously had red cross for Win 11 update due to i5-6500 processor) and it installed without any problems or complains
Run it from an actual USB or DVD disk, not an emulator, and will still stop setup on requirements. Ventoy joined the bypass-included pack recently. edit: but the ventoy bypass should not have been automatic, you probably need to select an option so idk
Did not select anything, copied iso to usb, selected it in menu & booted to setup Last time I checked this hardware on Win 10, it took me to a page saying "we are working on making Windows 11 run on this machine..." or something to this extend
Eh, ghacks is just keeping traffic going, grasping the content they present is optional More and more people are trying 11 Dev builds on unsupported PCs / VMs, since it's trivial to bypass requirements for clean install. But then hit the sneaky block when a new Insider build is released via Windows Update. The script mentioned addresses that. I also agree that there is high chance of the upcoming feature update to have the same blocking mechanisms. A new insider build is practically treated as a new feature update, it's an "upgrade". We will see..
What do the experts on here think will happen if Windows 11 does get blocked after updates? Probably someone on here will work out a fix. I hope Micrrosoft would not stop the computer working, and just leave it in the state it was before the update. I am lucky enough to have several PCs and will always keep one on Windows 10 just in case. None of my Windows 11 PCs passed the test, but Rufus sorted it all out without problems. WinToUsb program did various Bootable USB drives without any problems. Very useful to have multiple accounts for Teamviewer etc. as sometimes can blocked for no reason. I have never cheated Teamviewer, but it doesnt seem to like too many Computers on one ID. Free storage on multiple Google Drives is useful as well.
This is hypothetical situation Don't make problem where isn't one And even if it will happen mdl community will find solution
Hello, I've clean installed W11, and I want to enroll in Windows Insider RP. Do I have to run the Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update/offlineinsideroll again? Cheers!
Yes obviously if you clean installed and your actually need the bypass. Nothing persists after clean install (other than cloud-based configurations).
Hi, I have Win10 and macOS dual boot on separate SSDs for the last 3 years. I almost haven't used Win at all. I'd like to upgrade Win10 to 11 on an unsupported CPU, TPM and Secure Boot turned off in BIOS (required for macOS boot). What should I use? Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd is enough? Thanks!
Yes, it's enough. It works with any original media, no need to patch it. But if for some reason the script gets blocked (zealous antivirus), then you can do it manually: 1. Do a repair install of the existing windows version you have (optional, to make sure the upgrade does not fail). 2. Run 11 setup with troubleshooting parameters (from command prompt or Win+R Run menu): I:\sources\setupprep.exe /Product Server /Compat IgnoreWarning /MigrateDrivers All /ResizeRecoveryPartition Disable /ShowOOBE None /Telemetry Disable /CompactOS Disable /DynamicUpdate Disable replace I:\ with your mounted iso drive letter
Uh, I forgot to mention "with WU", I'd like to upgrade via Windows Update. Is it possible without downloading ISO? I have Win10 (Business) Enterprise btw.
