Be gentle guys :)...I'm trying to get caught up on the Win7 discussion but was wondering: If I already have a SLIC BIOS on my mobo running Vista 64, do I need to get a newer version for Win7 or am I already grandfathered?

    Thanks

P.S. An appropriate link towards an answer will suffice; I tried searching but the search kept informing me I was using too common wording.

Your SLIC is probably SLIC2.0. Win7 needs SLIC2.1. You will need to find another modded bios with 2.1

Use SLIC DUMP ToolKit to see the SLIC. There is a section of the program (on the top right of the screen) that shows the version of the SLIC used (ex: 2.0 or 2.1). And yes qwertywarez is right, back in Vista days version 2.1 was not created so you will need an updated version now.
