RECAP: All pictures i showed are from unactivated 15063.413 installs, upgraded from home to pro to enterprise by key only, and that worked, next i did an inplace (enterprise > enterprise) upgrade and only then the "keep all files and apps" wasn't greyed out. When upgrading from Home directly to Enterprise by iso the option was greyed out. And never a key was asked.
what do you mean by "upgraded from home to pro to enterprise by key only" ? which key are you refering to ?
That's the whole discussion.... https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...alls-and-upgrading.62696/page-31#post-1359676
I only see you reposting things that @Tito already posted (upgrade-path) and inconsequent posts. Can't find any method posted by you.
here's what i said in one of my previous post few hours ago => https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...alls-and-upgrading.62696/page-31#post-1359687 to show that you can upgrade from pro to enterprise without loosing your apps and files here's what i said not long ago as well => https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...alls-and-upgrading.62696/page-32#post-1359727 i haven't found the procedure i described to upgrade from pro to enterprise on this site, i've known this procedure for a while and i just wanted to share it with the member and help him to resolve his problem, that's all.
Going from an inactivated Pro to Enterprise, using Ent. ISO, it did not ask for a key and i'm able to keep files and apps. It's working on updates at the moment - 52% so far
Yes!! Thanks a lot guys. Now i'm going to install KMS server. It still is not asking for a license key **edit* oh oh - something is wrong: Error Code: 0xC004F056 Error Text: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated using the Key Management Service (KMS). **edit** never mind. I tried it again and it activated. Does the following mean it's going to expire soon? Remaining Grace: 180 days (259200 minute(s) before expiring)
kms activators usually allow to activate windows version for a limited perid of 6 months but you can create a scheduled task with the activator in such a way that activation is always renewed for example every month and this way you won't need to activate the windows version again when the grace period will expire. i don't personnally use these activators as i prefer using keys for the activation but everyone is free to do what he wants.
Help needed! I am running Windows 10 Enterprise N Version: 10.0.10586.1007 (1511) since almost 2 years, and would like to upgrade to 1607 or even better to 1703 (if/when available) with keeping all my installations and settings, but I fail! 1) normal Windows Update, installs patches, but I am unable to upgrade to 1607 ( ... Installation failed....) 2) when trying to upgrade with a new ISO (e.g. en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_n_x64_dvd_9057894.iso) I am unable to keep my installations and settings, as ' ... I am using a different edition - so maybe because this is 'LTSB' 3) I tried also 'Win10_1607_N_English_x64.iso' but get stuck at the 'activation key'. Neither my existing key, nor the generic Enterprise-key are working ... What is the proper way? Thank's fir your help!
You're always choosing wrong ISO; start with en_windows_10_enterprise_n_version_1703_updated_march_2017_x64_dvd_10189280.iso. BTW, any special need to stick with N variant?
