Why would anyone prefer Firefox instead of Cyberfox: https : // cyberfox . 8pecxstudios . com, these days? It is the best browser based on de Firefox source code but optimized to run way better, i've tried every other one & this is by far the best one. Kind regards, eXeToR
As far as I know Cyberfox is merely a custom-build of Firefox, whereas Pale Moon is much more in-depth project that is similar to the old Phoenix/Firebird. So whereas Cyberfox is tied to what Firefox decides to be, Pale Moon has much more freedom to improve radically.
Could be, just give it a try. For me & many more people it is the best version out there , an other good thing are the fast updates as far as i remember Pale Moon was always way behind the latest updates. Kind regards, eXeToR
Thanks, I've gone back to 39.0.3 - for some reason every single time I restart FF 40, I get nothing but a black screen, no menus, no sites, nothing at all, I have to restore my backed up profile to fix it every time
Probably because that screenshot shows the older UI of Firefox, while since they changed to "Australis", the gey title bar came along... In short, unless you used a classic theme restorator or something like that, you are stuck on an older version of the browser... I'll try the css styles just for fun... maybe that could fix a bug in which, when you go to a classic theme in Windows 7, and the enable back aero while FF is running, the titlebar buttons don't work anymore, you need to restart FF... Stupid Hardware Acceleration fancyness XD
I use only this in the userChrome.css file: Code: #main-window, .titlebar-button { background-color: transparent !important; } I think I like it better.
Why in the world would any using Firefox when Waterfox, a x64 super-fast, performance-optimized version of Firefox is available for free? Makes no sense...
Some people, for whatever reason, don't have a x64 OS. Also I was using Waterfox a long time, but it's a pain in the ass to install silently because it's not available from Ninite and I have a special homemade unattended script that I run with all my Windows installs. So I switched back to Firefox. Also Waterfox is literally a x64 clone of Firefox (it even uses the same profile) so wouldn't have this problem as well?
Looking around the web, there's a lot of people saying they used water, then switched back to fire. For me with my system, firefox is as fast as my finger, plus I've used it for years, so some of us just like what we like.
