    Yes, you can disable it easily. Some have done all the work for you. ;)

    @coleoptere2007 , the bios firmware offered on WU was not available on the support website of the manufacturer, when you posted this, they now have 310 available:

    As for OEM systems, MSFT will be offering more and more hardware specific drivers and other updates.

    As some mentioned before, MSFT doesn't develope them, the OEM's do, WU is just the most easiest way for 99.9% of the global users to get serviced.

    Not a problem for me. Running Pro with GPO to manage updates.

    Thinking about making a wsus servers. Best way to control the patches.

    When I ever have updated my BiOS I never play w/ the mouse, keyboard, etc. & leave the PC alone to do its thing. Unless MS gives a good warning to the update/BiOS installer the user may cause a self-inflicted problem by being impatient or doing something stupid.
