VPN is something very necessary since our government recently just started blocking all the sites it deems unnecessary. OK, I'll bite... I tried a few, like SmartDNS Proxy, cheap and cheerful but servers are not so good and plentiful and diverse, in terms of countries, as NordVPN! NordVPN has a complex way of dealing with multiple encryption systems being used by a single household (which is what I need), so one must test extensively, which is why I am in the game... It would be great to test it all properly... Why? Well, one is limited to 6 individual (or grouped) devices and with NordVPN each device/group of devices has to be differently encrypted: OpenVPN UDP, OpenVPN TCP, L2TP/IPsec etc. Ordinary, everyday modems/routers haven't sufficient firepower to handle OpenVPN's AES-NI encyption, ergo one must have a (mini PC) router which has plenty of power, multiple cores and AES-NI encryption supported. Then, one must learn how to group one's devices and encrypt some of them but leave all the other devices one has "as is", so as not to slow down one's network considerably (usually 4/5 to almost 10 times slower flow than unencrypted net traffic, depending on the processor, RAM etc.). It is complex and requires time, which I don't have enough, to do it all in a few free days NordVPN offers for testing, ergo this would be perfect for me... Cheers!
