You could look at AveYo's (Powershell) script posted here also - https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-defender-remover-script-lite.85722/#post-1749401 Personally, I would go with Defender Control (Sordum) or Winaero Tweaker even though you mentioned not wanting third party software. That way you can always turn it back on if necessary, and it won't break updates.
