Yes of course, but I would like to change my name, as I am not fan of Baldi's Basics anymore, but can't, due to the restrictions
I have no clue on how you and extreme got away with this without having to install dotnetfx bypass but for me it was always needed. (This is why the tool exist in first place alongside with the whole thread) Put it together with the ESU cumulative update for .net 4.5.x/4.6.x. Important note that goes together with .net bypass: Install it only if the cumulative for .net fails without it and remove it after you are done installing it. It has the side effect of some unrelated installs failing if you keep it installed. As of trying it out yourself I don't see the point if you don't need it in first place. You won't see anything.
Regarding PowerShell 3.0 Can you post detailed instructions on how to do it? I am kind of struggling with this one I am trying to install it with the script that George King posted but nothing happens when I run it. I have PowerShell 2.0 and BITS 4.0 installed. I also grabbed the DISM from George King's xp2esd application. I assume that all the components (install script, extracted cab of powershell3.0 and extracted dism) should be on the shame directory? What after that? I am trying to install it online. Is this my mistake? Thank you!
I've installed all vista updates untill windows update is happy using wsus proxy nt6. Then, I've patched WUC with server 2008 updates and installed all of them. After that I've installed the ESU Licensing preparation and the latest servicing stack update. Once I do that and reboot, windows update is no longer working with out of memory errors. Already expanded the pagefile to 10GB but it makes no difference. Also tried to reset the windows update datastore. No difference. I've also tested to install all vista updates, patch WUC and install ESU + service stack. Same thing, out of memory errors. Note: This is with 32bit windows vista
Yep, that seem a problem on 32 bit versions. Even inside Hyper-V where I have 3.5 GB free not just the usual 3.1 or so. Perhaps does anyone have a PAE patch working on updated 32bit Vista?
