False positive! Deactivate your AV or create scan exceptions in your AV software. What files and folders to exclude you will find in this post. Which distribution channel did you select for download? To reproduce your issues, please describe in more detail which steps you took. And a screenshot/copy of the "unknown manual channel" output would be great.
Upgrade = New install? Be sure to use FixIt-Tool (see post #4, section 5) first to avoid unwanted side effects. Just use OfficeRTool for download, install, conversion and KMS-activation. No update problems here using internal Office update.
I installed Office 2016 Professional Plus 32 bit version first and it worked, so it converted the RTM to VL. However when I installed the 64 bit version after uninstalling the 32 bit version it doesn't seems to work now.
Sorry, but to help you, you have to be more precise. Uninstall was done in Control Panel -> Programs and Features? If yes, then you must know, that in some cases Office fragments will remain which can interfere the next install. Better use Microsoft's own FixIt-Tool to completely remove Office from system. See post#4, section 5 for how to get and use this tool. Be sure to follow all recommended steps. What does not work in 64bit Office? Conversion? Activation? Starting Office?
I've used your tool before with no problems and your work is simple and great. Now with this new update, I was trying your new version out, reinstalling Office 2106 and Project. I believe you have an extra program hidden in the new downloads. I scanned the files today and found they came with a warning message from Windows Defender (WD). First was: Trojan:win32/Skeeyah.A!rfn - Didn't see this in your prior version and was highly skeptic of this. Second was: HackTool:Win32/AutoKMS!rfn - I allowed this through and added it as an Ex. in WD because I know the tool would not be useful long term without the KMS activation. I tried to read through the forum to see if anyone mentioned this before.I also checked the ex. list you've posted before and didn't see where Skeeyah.A!frn was listed or where it fell within your files. Could you provide insight for this? Why the trojan kickback?
That's not true. There is definitely nothing hidden or changed! False positive. "Trojan:win32/Skeeyah.A!rfn" is (falsely) found in: "\OfficeRTool\OfficeFixes\win_x32\SppExtComObjPatcher.exe". virustotal.com recognizes this file with most of the used virus-engines as "not-a-virus:RiskTool.Win32.ProcPatcher". So blame Microsoft for naming a KMS-Hacktool as Trojan.
Hi, @ratzlfeatz -a not strictly techncal question if I may? I am just curious as to why you have you have opted not to add an activation renewal task to your tool? Appreciate that there are other tools e.g. KMS_VL_ALL that can be used to do this, but given the high level of functionality and effort you have put into OfficeRTool, it seems that you have just stopped short of a complete one stop, fix and forget solution. This is not in any way intended as a criticism, as re-running the activation, now and again, is no big deal, but I am genuinely interested to know if this is a deliberate decision for personal preference or perhaps technical reasons. Many thanks and good to see you re-engaging more again after your recent medical scare. Go well.
When this project started, there already exist so much KMS-tools having autorenewal (MTK, KMS_VL_ALL (by qewlpal and abbodi1406), KMSpico). Manual KMS-activation was implemented in OfficeRTool for a quick start. As manual effort is not that much, It wasn't extended. For extra comfort (auto-renewal) there are already other solutions available. So no need to reinvent the wheel.
Command-Shell Batch-script combined with Powershell-commands. And a little VB-script file for getting elevated command prompt with admin-rights.

I started with a microsoft 2016 professional pro install which used the click to run software i believe. I used the software called O16-C2R-Retail2Volume from a guide on this website to convert to a volume license which seemed to work, then i ran your officeRtool (option K). When i use A to show the current activation status i get: ================== SHOW CURRENT ACTIVATION STATUS ========================== ____________________________________________________________________________ Office installation path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Distribution-Channel: Unknown Channel (Manual_Override) Updates-Url: not set ____________________________________________________________________________ Press any key to continue . . . Hope this helps as office has been working fine for me ever since
"Updates-Url" is retrieved from Registry. As OfficeRTool doesn't detect this value, then something has gone wrong at setup. This explains the "Unknown Channel", too. I suggest, you use MS-FixIt-Tool to remove the existing Office. Then use very latest OfficeRTool to (D) download and (I) install. Afterwards (C) convert Retail to Volume and (K) KMS activate. For download use "Monthly (Retail/RTM)" distribution channel (stable). Or take "Insider (FAST)" channel if you want to use newest (but preliminary) features. For install take "Office 2016 ProfessionalPlus" (stable) or "Office 365 ProPlus" for the very newest features. If you are the risky type, then you can take brand- new Office 2019 ProPlus Preview. But this one is time-restricted until 12/31/2018.
A new OfficeRTool version (2018/May/03) was released today Function "[D] DOWNLOAD OFFICE OFFLINE INSTALL PACKAGE - enhancement Added "Microsoft Internal Use Only" distribution channels to manual download selection (requested by user Winclub.pl) No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
