I agree. Download links to the tool should be apparent at the get go.

 

OK. In next OfficeRTool version, save-routine for download-path will be moved from (E) to (D)ownload section.

 

A new OfficeRTool version (2018/May/16) was released today

Function "(D) DOWNLOAD OFFICE OFFLINE INSTALL PACKAGE" - Correction
Dialogue for saving download path to OfficeRTool.ini is now shown right after entering
new location. In case there were no changes, no dialogue will be shown.

No other changes were made.

Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.

 

I can't seem to download 2019 version?

 

First you must choose in section (D) a distribution channel to download from.

For Office 2019 Preview you need "Insider FAST" distribution channel or
one of "MS internal use only" channels from Manual Override ("m")-section.

After you have downloaded your setup package, you can install Preview of
Office 2019 ProPlus, Visio 2019 or Project 2019 by choosing "5" in section (I).

For more information / instructions see "howto" in post #2 or look into file
"readme.pdf".

 

Hi. I downloaded Office 365 through the deployment tool awhile back. I wonder if it is also possible to create an offline installer of it? If the installer that can be downloaded from the OfficeRTool is indeed Office 365, how can I verify the integrity of the download (just in case). Thanks!

 

You need "setup.exe" from ODT and "configuration.xml" file.
Both should already be in download path of Office you downloaded.

To start Office setup, goto download-folder and enter:
setup.exe /configure configuration.xml
If configuration.xml file has a valid configuration, Office setup will start.

Just copy download-directory with files and subfolders together with
configuration.xml and setup.exe to an install-media and you will have
a complete offline install. Be sure not to change folder-structure and
file locations, otherwise setup will fail.

OfficeRTool fetches the files from the same Microsoft-servers as ODT
does. But Microsoft doesn't provide any checksum, so no hash-check is
possible.
Using OfficeRTool is a matter of trust. Up to now, no complaints were
raised. 3rd-party download module "gnu-wget" and some simple checks
ensure, that download is working.

Well, it is not that I don't trust the tool but because of my current net that is s**tty and unstable, the downloaded installer might get corrupted somehow.

By the way, I just downloaded one using OfficeRTool from the monthly channel and got a folder "16.0.9226.2156_en-US_x64_Monthly_Channel" in the download directory. I ran the download twice just to make sure.

Though, I'm a little confused what you said about the placing of the setup.exe and configuration.xml. In my case I have the downloaded "16.0.9226.2156_en-US_x64_Monthly_Channel" inside a folder named "office_offline" (my download directory). So, should the "setup.exe" and "configuration.xml" be together with the "office_offline" folder before running the "setup.exe" with the config parameter?

 

setup.exe and configuration.xml must always be placed in Office-download-folder
"16.0.9226.2156_en-US_x64_Monthly_Channel", not in your system's download-
folder "office_offline". OfficeRTool will create and place them there together with
cmd-file to start Office setup when you press "c" ( = create install package ) at
the end of install-dialogue. This will not start setup immediatedly. Only needed
files are created for later use.

Just installed and activated both Office 365 Pro Plus Retail (Spanish) and Windows 10 Professional x64 1803 (Spanish Mexico)

What I did:

1- Installed Windows 10 Pro 1803, downloaded from Microsoft 2 or 3 days ago. (you can skip this step if you already have an operational computer, wink).
2- Installed Office 365 Pro Plus Retail from DVD (downloaded from officecdn.microsoft.com).
3- Converted Office 365 Pro Plus Retail to Volume licence with CR2-R2V.7z (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-28#post-1150042)
4- Activated both with KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-20.7z (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...pro-and-office-2013.49686/page-76#post-838808).

Worked like a charm! Up to now at least (did it around an hour ago, hehe).

NOTE: Read the readme file in KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-20.7z. Different steps for auto and manual renewal.

Your work really eases my job as a third-world computer repair person (and many other's jobs all around the world I assume).

 

Would you like to add to the script memorizing the language and architecture in the .ini file to be used when downloading each build from each branch, with the possibility of changing before downloading?

For example, I always download compilations pl-PL x64 and it would be more convenient if the script would remember these settings

 

Seems a good enhancement to (D)ownload section. Let me play a little with this....

 

I just downloaded office 2016 proffessional plus from tb.rg-adguard, however the file size is huge 4.13 GB,
and the SHA-1 Checksum is: 8018E51E6BF5643DEE55540CAE1CDA5AB0588F0F.

Can someone help confirm whether I'm getting the correct file? Thanks.
