A new OfficeRTool version (2018/November/19) was released today -BugFix- Office 2019 Single Apps were not detected/found when installed as native Volume Apps by other tools Function (C) CONVERT OFFICE RETAIL TO VOLUME Office 2019 Single Apps names are changed from Retail to Volume to be correctly stored in registry. No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
Curious if anyone using this method (i.e. retail->volume) is seeing the new-look ribbon, which is supposed to be rolled out to many if not all rings as of about a month ago. I've yet to see it, even on Fast ring. A couple months ago I did see an opt-in via a button ("Coming Soon") for the even bigger ribbon redesign, the slim one, but that option vanished weeks ago.
With OfficeRTool Is not possible to [O] CREATE OFFICE ONLINE WEB-INSTALLER LINK for Office 365, right? Is this by design or a limitation of the ODTool??
I have Office 365 ProPlus Retail => VL with the new UI. It didn't show up at first but my sulution was Win+R "winword /r" or repairing office from control panel Edit: Dumb question (It's been asked hundreds of times) is KMS with OfficeRTool normally temporary? I've had various results with different installs
... and some tools create a Scheduled Task for renew it automatically every week or so, so "permanent" can be this for you.
Wow, that's a deep cut, but same-old menu afterwards, and no toggle in Outlook, either. Tested with Monthly Targeted, which is supposed to have the changes. I had to look up what the switch means (if it exists for Outlook, it's undocumented, but I assume the one for Word applies Office-wide). Now, maybe the reason it didn't work was because none of that happened. Nothing appeared to happen at all. The Registry part wouldn't have been apparent, but Word running would have.
Why do I have to convert O365 Retail to VL I know its neccessary but whats the point? OK i have learned the difference, sorry
You have already answered your own question. Go learn the difference between Retail and Volume license.
Because KMS can only activate VL. C2R-R2V converts O365 Retail to Mondo VL 2016 by default, but script also have the option to convert it to proplus2019VL.
The tool doesn't work on fresh windows installation from today. I'm using 2018/November/19 version. Everything in the download phase works fine. I download the retail version. In the install phase I select the 365 package, then the apps I want to install, and the setup files are created. then the setup screen appears for a second and then disappears. When I try to click it it just doesn't run. Tried numerous times and downloaded again all the files. I've downloaded the x32 version and the system is x64. What am I missing here?
