Will the KMS_VL_ALL tool work with Office (365?) that comes pre-installed with a fresh Windows installation? I figure I'd save myself the hassle of finding a legit Office 2019.iso and having to convert to volume if I can just activate the Office suite that comes with Windows. As far as I know, there's no difference in functionality when it comes to Office 2019 or Office 365 if your using it on Windows. I don't care about the cloud features.
i got this installed about a month back, now i cant use as its asking for activation, do i have to perfrom a fresh install ?, i had selected monthly targeted, will this happen every month ?
Did you check the AV logs about removing KMS related stuff? What KMS tool did you use for the initial activation?
i didnt use any kms tool, i just installed it and it was working, previously i had an install that i used m$ tool kit to activate
Then office activated by the running kms activation from MTK, and the AV probably removed the KMS activator.
If you've installed the renewal task, iirc, you have to remove it (can be done by the MTK GUI). Next use KMS_VL_ALL
ClickToRun is not allowing offline installs anymore (error 30182-1015 (3)). How to solve it? Nvm, just found out YAOCTRI.
Hi everyone, Based on the changelog, it seems that Version 1911 (Build 12228.20332) onwards, insider feature only dynamic array for Excel is made available for Office 365 Pro Plus. Some of the functions are filter, sortby, unique. Can anyone confirm because I don't see it in converted version of the Mondo license. Thanks.
@bjf2000: Redo Retail2VL conversion! Then retry KMS activation again. Be sure, no other additional antivirus-/security-software than MS Defender is active. To get a second opinion use KMS_VL_ALL for testing if KMS activation works here.
@ratzlefatz It would be weird if it somehow got back to retail, but it did gets this far with something before stopping dead (sppsvc.exe sticking a CPU core again): Then attempting activation led to the same thing as before. AIO isn't immune to the issue either. I think there's no way around it: something has changed in Windows, probably relating to sppsvc.exe, which undermines all these tools. I hope it's just a temporary thing. Because of the holidays, it could easily be weeks before there's another new build (if there isn't one very soon), so it may be a while before we know more.
@bjf2000: Just finished testing. You're right, and what you said in the first place was also right. Getting nowhere, I let the "stuck" selection [C]onvert run overnight (letting it run most of an hour before was not enough), and when I looked at it again in the morning I was floored to see that it returned to the main menu. But did it do anything since it was already on volume (with no retail SKUs) in the first place? Yes, it did. And whatever cleaning it did restored normal speed to all related activities (even checking status took an eternity when in this problem state), including activation, which actually worked again. I can only guess something occurred during a recent build upgrade (maybe the latest, 12410, but maybe one just before I knew of an issue and started paying attention), and something that really matters to these particular activities became corrupted in the process.
That's not really a "Office download/install/activation" question, but anyway: Could be remnants of a prior Office installation. Mixture of different Office versions mostly is no good deal and may lead to such problems. If this is your case then remove messed Office installation(s) by using "OfficeScrubber" from abbodi1406. If total uninstall is no option for you, then you can check the following and test if it helps: 1) Check Word options: - Open Microsoft Word, click on File Menu and then click on Options. - Now go to "Save" tab and select "Word Document (*.docx)" from the drop-down list given in "Save files in this format" section. - Apply the changes and restart Word. Now it should not show [Compatibility Mode] text in titlebar. 2) Delete "Normal.dotm" file: - Type "%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates" in RUN dialog box and press Enter. It'll open Templates folder in Windows Explorer. - Look for Normal.dotm file in the folder. Either delete the file or rename it to some other name. - That's it. Open Word and it'll automatically create a new Normal.dotm file in Templates folder which will solve the issue.
