Hello! Hoping someone can help out - I'm getting Activation Failed whenever I try to activate using the KMS. I've used the uninstaller/wiper recommended in Post #4 - completely removed it, rebooted, ran it again, etc. Then used the local install option in the tool for Office 2016 (and also 2019 after completely removing and trying again), but when trying to activate it just says Activation Failed. If anyone can help out I'd love you forever!
Any other AntiVirus software (besides Windows Defender active)? Using OfficeRTool you need to define some exclusions in your AV to make KMS activation work. What to exclude look here -> https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-85#post-1388919.
"Off" could be "not completely off". Sometimes AV stays "silent ready" in the background. Even deactivated (=silent ready) some need the scan exclusion rules to make KMS activation work. Anyway: I suggest to do a 2. test: Use KMS_VL_ALL from abbodi1406 and check if this will activate Office on your system. If this fails too, then Malwarebytes interferes KMS activation. You should consider temporary de-installation of MB or adding exclusions to see if it helps.
in Malwarebytes Corporate Ed./Home Premium (both v2!) it's enough to disable real-time protection and web protection in order to allow it to work without a problem. You need to exclude some files after KMS activation is done otherwise Malwarebytes will delete the files needed Can't test with Malwarebytes latest versions
AIUI, KMS_VL_ALL doesn't offer activation for Office UWP, hence the auto-renewal presumably won't work there (do correct me if I'm wrong here). Is there an alternative somehow? Thanks! (PS: Thank you for this amazing tool! )
Microsoft announced UWP-Office-apps will be discontinued January 2021. They said, Windows 10 users should take Windows desktop apps instead. So it seams, UWP-Office is a dead end. You should consider removing it and switch to MS-supported Click2Run-Office. If you don't want this, then you must use OfficeRTool to manually renew within the 180 days KMS period.
Good to know, thanks for the info. For now I have a working product, I'll probaby renew in 180 days and 180 days afterwards I'll probably upgrade. Thanks again!
Hello, Apologies if this has been answered before. .there are a lot of posts here and I cant possibly read all of them I used OfficeRTool (2019/November/28) to install Office 2019 Pro Plus succesfully. I see that the license info shows it is activated for 180 days initialy so I assume at some point I will need to use OfficeRTool KMS to activate it again? is there any way to automate that? I was using Office 2010 Pro before and MS ToolKit 2.6.4 which ran automatically every day. I need to do this for a laptop that will not be used by someone with the technical skills need to manually reactivate the license every 6 months. Thanks for all help and thanks to all of the great people on the MDL forums who work so hard to make all of these things available to everyone.
New to the forum, wondering if you got this to work after? I was wondering the same thing, fresh windows install, still haven't downloaded Office from the pre-installed installer. What steps/tools did you use?
From the Readme of the KMS_VL_ALL tool: Code: Office Retail to Volume Office Retail must be converted to Volume first before it can be activated with KMS specifically, Office Click-to-Run products, whether installed from ISO (e.g. ProPlus2019Retail.img) or using Office Deployment Tool. Office 365 itself does not have volume licenses, therefore it will be converted to Office Mondo licenses. Starting version 36, the activation script implements automatic license conversion for Office C2R. Alternatively, if the automatic conversion did not work, or if you prefer to use the separate converter script: Office-C2R-Retail2Volume You can also use other tools that can convert licensing: OfficeRTool Office Tool Plus Office 2013-2019 C2R Install Note: Only OfficeRTool supports converting and activating Office UWP.
