I have an office 365 subscription, can I download office insider using this tool without damaging my subscription?
Post #555 of this thread. I do not understand. When we want to have Office 2019 and Visio 2019 in Windows 8.1: Do you suggest this: a) install O365ProPlusRetail 2019 b) after the installation make all Office updates c) install VisioProRetail 2016 -> I do not understand, when we install VisioProRetail 2016, we now have Viso 2019? Or do you suggest this: a) install O365ProPlusRetail 2019 b) after the installation make all Office updates c) install VisioProRetail 2019 -> I do not understand. This does not work because of you saying: "Office 2019 products are officially blocked on 8.1. And yes this is also guilty for Visio 2019. Or is there a Visio 365 version? Thank you for clarification.
install O365ProPlusRetail (or ProPlusRetail) + VisioProRetail run C2R-R2V.cmd the script will install Licenses for ProPlus2019Volume and VisioPro2019Volume Office programs will detect and use Office 2019 licenses Office updates will detect and allow updating Office 2016 SKUs
Thank you. When we have Office 2016 installed with Office 2019 VL licenses: Is there a way to update it offline in win 8 from 2016 to 2019?
Neen some help please, Using the OfficeRTool 2021, i successfully installed MS Office 2016 ProPlus using Online Web Setup converted it to volume and activated it with KMS. So I decided to make an Offline Installer package, after selecting C on "Start local install now (1/0) or Create Install Package (C) ?>" under the "(I) INSTALL OFFICE SUITES OR SINGLE APPS" I looked at the created installer and the "setup.exe", and "configure32/64.xml" files is missing. So i run the tool again and i noticed that while creating the package it only stopped at "Creating setup file "start_setup.cmd" ". it looks like this: ============== INSTALL OFFICE FULL SUITE / SINGLE APPS ==================== ___________________________________________________________________________ Creating setup file "start_setup.cmd" in Installpath: "D:\ - - - - -(my download path) '_% instlang%_x-none"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file ___________________________________________________________________________ Waiting for x seconds, press a key to continue . . . Im running Windows 7 Ultimate and I got my Microsoft Security Essentials and Firewall turned off. Thank you in advance. I hope I explained it clearly, im new to all this.
There is an Office version limitation when installing on Windows 7. However, abbodi1406 created Office_C2R_Extender to enable office installation on W7. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...nstall-activation.62571/page-199#post-1605416
Thank you for your time. I was trying to create an Offline Installer for Installing on other computers with no internet access. My OfficeRTool can't seem to create the "setup.exe" file. On the created Installer package all I got from the package folder are: Name: Office package.info start_setup.cmd "setup.exe", and "configure32/64.xml" are kinda missing.
I use the "C" option, then I go back to the Office folder and rename start_setup.cmd to start_setup_c.cmd. Then I perform the process again using the "S" option and rename start_setup.cmd to start_setup_s.cmd. This way, you end up with an installation package with two different setup files. Check that Setup.exe is present in the OfficeFixes folder within OfficeRTool. If it does not exist, download and extract the tools again ensuring that Windows Security is disabled during the process.
Still can't create the "setup.exe" file. In the readme.pdf file it says: Start local install now (1/0) or Create Install Package (C) ?> - "1" : Starts setup immediatedly / Selected Office Software Products are installed on local system - "0" : Abort and redo setup / Go back to top and choose new install parameters - "X" : Abort and go to Main Menu - "Any other key": Go to top, review and change install configuration ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - "C" : Creates "setup.exe", "configure32/64.xml" and a "start_setup.cmd" The entered setup data are used. No setup is started. Builds an Offline Setup Package without the need to install first. You can create a different Install package without reloading by simply going through setup menu and creating another configuration.xml file based on selected items. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ that ' Creates "setup.exe" ' is what's not happening. maybe this warning is causing the problem: '_% instlang%_x-none"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file or maybe its just my computer setup is causing this. Ill try to run the tool on other machine and see if theres a difference especially when i activated the MS Office 2016 ProPlus with KMS i read the "Windows 7 Ultimate is not supported by KMS" Thank you for your time.
After you Download Office installation files, you end up with a folder named Office and a file named package.info. Next is to create an installation package (option I), at this stage you choose "C" Click2Run or "S" Setup.exe (no Setup.exe for C2R). This is the part I was explaining earlier, and you can perform both for the same package. You should start the installation using this start_setup.cmd file.. in my case start_setup_s.cmd. (try running as Administrator, it works without in my case) You probably have not continued the process correctly, the language may not be listed or written correctly, 2 small letters - 2 caps !! Check the entry in OfficeRTool.ini, edit or delete OfficeRTool.ini and start again. Example: -------------------------------- :: default download-path D:\Download\MS_Office -------------------------------- :: default download-language en-US -------------------------------- :: default download-architecture x64 -------------------------------- Check inside download folder \Office\Data\16.0.1xxxx.20xxx\stream.x64.xx-XX.dat what language have you got, is it the same as in the OfficeRTool.ini? Windows 7 is activated using DAZ, search the forum for it. By the way, I think the last Office that would install on Windows 7 is Build 12527.21594.
Sir, Im really thankful for your effort as it turned out as suspected, the culprit is my Windows 7 Ultimate setup, I just tried OfficeRTool2021 on my friend's laptop running Windows 10, and it worked just fine, I have the created MS Office 2016 ProPlus now. You guys here are awesome and good at this stuff. My next mission is to find that stable windows 7 build here. Coz the one I have now is kinda suspect came from some computer shop.
I have not a particular method in mind. So the answer to "how exactly?" is "in any way" "no matter how". OK. I see, when there are no offline updates, then of course we can not install offline updates. I thought, maybe somebody has made a package of such updates that can be downloaded somewhere. Just an idea. But I guess, to update Office 2016 VL with a 2019 licence to Office 2019 VL, it does not only need "updates", it needs also "upgrades". Or am I wrong? I guess the difference between Office 2016 and 2019 is too big as we only need updates, we need in addition more. Maybe something like "upgrades" ? Or am I wrong? Thank you.
No Office 2016 = 2019 = 2021 = Microsoft 365 all use the same binaries/updates only difference depend on update channel
I want to install Office on Windows 7 VM which is STRICTLY use for M$ OFFICE ONLY. What version should I go for?
